How do you enter or solve for x? ex: 4/5 x = 6

Take the time to read the whole post. It explains the use of variables on the calculator. The use of the solve( function is at the end of the post.

The variables you have at your disposal in this calculator are

A,
B,C,D,X,Y,M. All of them are accessed by pressing the [ALPHA] key before
the key near which is written the name of the variable. You will notice
that the markings of the symbols accessed with the [ALPHA] key are of
the same color as that of the [ALPHA] key.

You will notice also that there are two = signs.

The one at the bottom right executes the command line. By pressing it you find the result of the expression just entered.

The
other = sign is marked on the body of the calculator with the same
color as the [ALPHA] key. It is located at the top left of the keyboard
(excluding the row with SHIFT, MODE, the navigation buttons)

Example to enter X^2-2X-35=0 (not your expression)

Direct access physical keys are in [ ],

[ALPHA] (X) [X to power 2] [ - ] [2] [ * ][ALPHA][(X) [ - ] [3][5] [ALPHA] (=) [0]

Usually
when you enter such an expression it is with the intention of solving
it for X. By default X is taken to be the UNKNOWN. You will be prompted
to enter the value assigned to any other letter symbol (Y, A,B,C,D).

So,
if you want to use the Solve function, you press [SHIFT] [CALC] and
the calculator will ask you a question: "Solve for X?" , and you press
the = sign at the bottom right.

Then you will be prompted for any other non-X letter.

Here it is.

TO COMPUTE STANDARD DEVIATION AND 2-VAR STATISTICS.

I assume you know the theory. I will show you the key strokes

for 1-Var statistics

Press [MODE][3:STAT] [1:1-VAR]. You are ready to enter values in the X column.

Enter a number and press [=]. Cursor jumps to second number to enter.

Keep entering numbers and pressing [=] till all numbers are in. Press the [=] key after the last one.

**Press
[AC] key to clear the screen.**

Press [SHIFT] [STAT] (above digit 1.) then [5:Var]. Screen displays the statistical variables 1:n ;2: x bar; 3: x sigma n; 4:x sigma n-1.

Press the number corresponding to Referable you want, ex 1:n . The variable appears on screen. Press [=] and it will be displayed.

To display another variable press [SHIFT][STAT][5:Var][ 1,2, 3, or 4] .

To access the sum of squares sigma x^2 and the sum of data sigma x press[SHIFT][STAT][4:SUM] then [1: for sigma x^2] or [2: for sigma x]. Press [SHIFT][STAT][6:MinMax] to access minX and maxX.

For 2-var statistics

To perform 2 variable statistics you press [MODE][3:STAT] and any of the other regression options (except 1:1-Var). A two column template opens where you enter the X and Y values. When finished entering data, press [SHIFT][STAT][5:Var]. to access the different statistics. As I assumed above, you should be able to recognize what each variable means.

try using parenthesis. some calculators are not interactively solving these issues they may be applying -(4x-4) ...

try (-4) x (-4)...

Cheers.

well if 4/5 x = 6, then 5/5 would equal?? 7.5. 6/4 = 1.5 unit for each One. therefore 1.5 (Value of one) multiplied by 5, for 5/5 or a whole = 1.5 x 5 = 7.5.

Hi shiny_diamon

Here is a picture of the powers and root functions of your calculator.

1.To calculate the cubic root of a number you use the key combination shown on line 5

Ex: Cubic root of 27

27 [2nd] [3 root x] [EXE]; Should get 3

2. You can use the general root key on line 7 [2nd][x Root y]

Ex: Cubic root of 125

125 [2nd][ x Root y] 3 [EXE] Should get 5

(-125) [2nd][x Root y] 3 [EXE]; Should get -5

3. You can also yse the general power key on line 6: [Y to x], but the degree of the root is entered as a fraction 1/3

Ex: cubic root of -125.

(-125) [Y to x]( 1/3) [EXE]; You should get -5

**4. The [Y to x[ key is the one you use to obtain all other roots fourth, fift, tenth, n-th.**

Ex: Fourth root of 256

256 [Y to x] (1/4) [EXE]: You should get 4

Hope that helps.
