Recently downgraded from vista to hp. All of my drivers are working except the wireless. I have downloaded windows installer and then installed the driver on the hp site for my computer but when I am in the device manager, I cannot find the driver! The wireless button is on my I get the orange light no matter which way it goes. the help section in the device manager says that some laptops have to have their wireless devices enabled through the BIOS (computer setup utility). Is this why I am not seeing it in the device manager? Should I even be checking the BIOS? Any help is greatly appreciated. I even updated my BIOS after the downgrade and the wireless still does not work but I can connect to the internet using my ethernet cables.
You have the wrong driver installed.try wlan driver(hp site)
when you download it you then need to install it
If you dont see it in the device manager , then you have an item listed as yellow /unknown device ,that is the wireless and needs the driver installed.
if you see neither then you may have disabled the wireless in the bios.
