I'm also having the exact same problem. I have taken it apart and tested a voltmmeter on the main PCB. Got a response from most of the connections except one. I'm afraid you and I are in the same boat, in need of a replacement or a new PCB. Problem there is Akai is not the best with customer service and a replacement can run $100 .

sounds like dust, if you know some one with an air compresser ask them to give it a blow through, if not then it is down to caned compressed air, if that is not enough, you need to open it, and clean the contacts (DVD cleaner is cheap and good)

Follow power cord to fuse inside and check it, total loss of power usually means a fuse or power supply.

Tv will not come no timer lite blinks

Things You'll Need:

  • Electrical outlet
  • Fuses
  1. Check that the power cord is securely plugged into the power outlet.

  2. Make sure that the power outlet is receiving electricity by plugging a different device into the plug and turning the power on. If the other device does not work you likely have a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker.

  3. Replace the blown fuse or reset the circuit breaker as needed. If it happens again, an electrician should assess the problem.

  4. Contact akai Support if Steps 1 to 3 do not solve your problem. Only a trained service technician should attempt to fix the power problem with your television

Hello I own an mpk 49 keyboard now I'm new at this and I can't figure out if it's internal or external sound the mpk49 gives off. Long story short how do I get the sound out of the keyboard do I have to...

You could look in the manual on Page 5 for connections to external equipment...

Connect a USB cable from your computer to the MPK49. The unit will be powered through the USB connection. Alternatively, if you do not wish to use a computer in your setup or if you wish
to power the MPK49 externally, please plug in a 6V-1A DC power adapter.
2. If you would like to use an external sound module, connect a 5-pin MIDI cable from the MIDI OUT of the MPK49 to the MIDI IN of the external device.
3. If you would like to use another MIDI controller in your setup, connect a 5-pin MIDI cable from the MIDI OUT of the controller to the MIDI IN of the MPK49.

On Page 13 the first of the FAQ's is:
Question: Does the MPK49 have internal sounds?
Answer: No. The MPK49 is a MIDI-controller, which means that it does not contain any sounds inside but is instead used
to control external sound devices, such as hardware and software synthesizers, sequencers and drum machines.

If you lack the manual you can go to retrevo.com and download it for free after you register.

My akai tv model lct3785ta will not turn on

Ok.. What is the status of the power LED at the front. Does it blink, change color a few seconds after its turned on? Do you notice any clicking noise from the set?

Please provide this info so that we can continue with the diagnosis.

TV wont turn on at all.

It might be as simple as the fuse on the doubler board.
If you are capable of TV repairs, inside the TV, where the power cable connects to the board, there should be a small glass fuse. Check that to make sure it is not open, if it is, try replacing it with the same amp and voltage, if it pops again, then it is something more serious like a short some where.

Plasma TV - won't turn on

well, there is no fuse box. it's a small, 20mm fuse, tere is one on each board. just remember what screws you take off where. take pics along the way, draw yourself notes. inside it's like home computer, just boards and screws. probably fuse or the power supply board itself.
