Try it on another PC first.
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed VIEWSONIC monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Checked connections, all good. Tested with another Winplus monitor, it works . The car battery was changed since then monitor has no picture but power button is on (blue). Menus not working either??????

If another monitor works in place, it sounds like you've found the culprit. If the other monitor works completely normally, and you aren't even seeing menus on that monitor, AND the power button is blue (which normally indicates powered and in use), it sounds like the back light or some internal connection on that monitor is bad. Hope that helps and good luck!

Here is a link to a repair guide for the LG L196WTQ. It sounds like you have a power supply failure and the guide shows how to open the unit, check the power board and then what to replace if you do find bad capacitors.

http://www.ccl-la.com/blog/index.php/lg-l196wtq-bf-lcd-monitor-repair/

Problems like wavy or flickering picture, flashing power light, slow to display the picture or no power at all are all symptoms of a failed or failing power supply board.

I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.

My samsung LCD monitor display blank but blue light is blink.

Hi,

Check to ensure all connections are in good place and are properly connected, if they are and yet no display, the picture board on your monitor is faulty, since the power light is on, it means the picture board of your monitor has developed fault.
take the monitor to a local repairer within your vicinity to help with the replacement of the picture board.

Power light on but no picture

check if the keyboard has light. If the monitor power is off, check the power of your monitor at the lower right side. Try to turn off/on the monitor and check if the "monitor going to sleep" message appears. Then interchange the blue cable (VGA) from one end to the other (in between monitor and desktop). Try also to power off your desktop, remove cables, then press n hold power button for 8 secs, and then reinsert cables back , and then turn on pc.Check if the monitor won't turn on. If still the same, replace your monitor by calling your pc manufacturer.

Monitor keeps shutting off with light staying blue as if it was still on.

Hello,

The picture board on your monitor is bad, since it goes off after few seconds and the power led or button is on, it means the picture board of your monitor has developed fault and will need to be replace.

I advice you replace the picture board on the monitor, this will solve the problem and will never experience such thing again.

Take care.

I assume you have already try it on other PC, otherwise you may have problem in the power supply (bad caps), inverter circuits (transistors, transformers), lamps (worn out or poor solder connection). You will need to open it up and post back what you see inside so we can guide you further. See example of failed monitors due to bad components: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

Screen does not turn on but green light is on.

Green light indicates the monitor is getting power. Nothing coming up on the screen indicates, No Signal.

No signal from the computer. This means the computer itself isn't working.

A bad power supply in the computer can cause this. A bad power supply is the leading cause of desktop computer failure. It is replaceable, and can be done by the owner relatively easy.

You may have a computer tower that the Power light comes on, you hear fan/s spinning, (Including the Power Supply fan), and it sounds like the harddrive is running.

ALL the lights in your computer use less than 1 Watt.
EACH fan uses 2 to 3 Watts.
A harddrive sitting there spinning in an endless loop, consumes about 2 to 3 Watts.

A Processor uses 51 to 125 Watts. Depends on what Processor it is.

A weak Power Supply will have enough power for lights, fans, and that harddrive sitting there spinning.
It won't have enough power to turn on the Processor.

[No processor operating, then the harddrive sits there spinning in an endless loop, because there is no processor to find the boot sector]

For a test, connect your monitor to a know good computer. See if it works.
Now connect that other monitor to your computer.

Harddrive issues.

I would suggest 2 things.
Open the PC up and reseat the RAM stick/s.
Also reseat the graphics card if applicable.
If the monitor still doesnt get sync take out the pci cards and see if it will POST.
If so plug your PCI cards back in one at a time to diagnose which is the faulty one.
Also it could be your graphics card, take it out and use the O/B graphics see if the monitor will get sync off the O/B.
If this doesnt help please supply more information.
