What is the A-coil that is compatible with furnace model KG7SC072D24B?

Looking at the model # it appears that you may have a 2 ton unit. Evaporator coils come in different sizes -

You should be able to get the correct size by providing the A/C repair company with the name of the manufacturer and the Model Number.

Generic coils, should you need one because yours is no longer being manufactured, do come in all different sizes.

I don't know if you want to replace the evaporator coil or have a service company do it. But if you do there are some things you need to know.

If the unit is an older unit the evaporator coil along with the box it sets in needs to be replaced because the drain pan is probably rusted out.

Additionally the box the new coil sits in is is going to be different in size then the original.

So a transition will need to be made from the furnace to the new A-coil box.

So with all that being said - if you have a credible A/C company replacing the coil you won't have any problems with them finding a replacement coil. They are in the business of doing this type of work and come across this situation all the time.

Guidance in replacing an evaporator coil for a Carrier Model 38GS014300

If it is still operational, I would leave it alone. The tools you would need would be an ocy/act welding pack, a vacuum pump, pipe cutters, and if the unit is R-22, you will need to close the king valve on the condensing unit high sidle (little pipe), and push the contactor in to remove all the refigerant in the line to store it in the condensing unit. To know if it is evacuated, you'll need a set of refrigerant guages. Depending on how much you want to spend, it would be cheaper to have someone come out and do it. The parts I have listed can run you upwards of $500. Plus, you'll need to know what your doing so you don't damage your compressor after changing your coil. You'll also need to replace the dryer once you open up the sealed system.

I have a Carrier Model 38GS014300 that suffered damage when the snow from the roof fell on the outside portion of the unit. It has not been operational for many years. I am interested in replacing the...

It would be cheaper to replace the whole condenser than to try to replace the coil and fan. May not be able to find the outside condenser coil. If it is r22 system I would replace the condenser and evaporator coil with an r410a system. this is the type of Freon that is used because in a few years r22 will be gone.

Hi,
The best thing to do is to call Carriers customer service line or their tech. support number... often times the customer talking to the co. directly will get better results then the dealer talking to them...
The dealer does need to recover thier costs also... they do not make that much money on the initial installation...
It is worth a phone call or two for you to call the factory and tell them how you are going to tell all of your friends NEVER to buy any carrier products because they do not stannd behind them!!!

Looking for evaporator coil cd5axa036017abaa . three years of recharging rather then fixing now the coil is out of warranty and Carrier and service company will not stand behind product.

Hi, if you have a leak in the evaporator coil which this happens a lot and they came out and didn't try to make any attempts in finding and repairing the leak or they found it in the coil and didn't order a new one, this is against the law by E.P.A standards. They must make every attempt in making the repairs if it means replacing the coil, no if, ands, or buts!! Keep your receipts on them charging the system. Now that its out of warranty, I would call them and bring this up about not changing out the coil when the leak was found. I am sure they used dye to locate it.I have found more leaks in the evaporator coils then I care to count, and had to replace the coil. This is something you can't do on your own I must say, as it takes special equipment to do this job. I would call the Enviormental protection agency and tell Carrier you will do this, and report them. I bet they will stand behind it then. You have to get tough with them. I am a air conditioning contractor and know the law. The E. P. A. will get them on the ball trust me. This is bull+)_(*&%!* !! Don't let Carrier walk on you, this coil should have been put in the schedule to be changed out right away, not to continue to charge it to get you through. This is a 3 ton split system. Stay on them, this will be covered if you make the call and stay on them. The E. P. A. are very strict on this as this is why they have stopped us from venting freon into the air, they have very strict guide lines we must follow and Carrier did not follow them on your unit. Please keep me posted, and the best to you.
Sincerely,
Shastalaker7

Looking for evaporator Coil number for Carrier Model 24ANA736

Are you replacing or adding an evaporator coil to this system? If replacing, please give us the model # (and product #) of the evaporator coil. If you can't find one for it, we will need the air handler (or gas furnace) model # so we can help you match it up.
If you just want the condenser coil for that condenser, the part # is 331230-7035.

My ac blows cooled air but my heater does not get hot

the heater coil has possibly burnt out. This coil is located behing the evaporator coil in the window a/c. To access the coil you need to pull out the unit from the casing. The coil looks like a toaster coil and is possibly in a metal box. Several screws hold the coil in place. If you are doing the repair yourself you will need to remove the coil take the model and serial number with you to an appliance parts house for replacement. Removal of the coil like i said before isn't hard however, you need to make sure all of the electrical wiring you diconnedct has been marked to insure you are placing the correct wires back in the correct location on your new heater coil. Good Luck on your repairs hope this helped you some

Model number for Carrier furnace with issue for blower 5 minute off delay

I believe that this model number is for an air conditioner evaporator coil. This unit is probably directly attached to your furnace. The Model number for the furnace will be located in the compartment where the flames can be seen. It will be on a sticker or plate that contains lots of other information too like BTU/h, Volts etc...

The number you gave me gives me this info:
Cased air conditioning evaporator coil.
3 Tons
Horizontal application
