Have you tried installing the keyboard software? If you have, try reinstalling it and see what happens..

Somebody gave me this and i dont know how to work the volume

There are a couple of ways to skin this cat... first look at the keyboard, particularly the function keys, the arrow keys, the pgeUp/pgeDwn keys, etc. You should see a speaker- looking icon, that may or may not be colored the sames as your Function key. If you find one, hold the function key and press the speaker key... that should raise the volume.

Another way to change the volume is to open the Control Panel, go the Sounds and Audio Devices Properties - under Volume you will find a Speaker Volume button, Open it and set your right and left speaker volume.

You do not give much info - for example eg, Your OS and if you have a laptop you would have 2 mics
Try setting you webcam mic as default
Vista OS
TEST SPEAKERS
Right click on speaker icon in System Tray or from Control Panel
Select "Playback Devices"
The speaker icon ( checked as working) and volume level graph should be visible
Right click on the volume graph and click "Test"
Left hand speakers followed by right hand should be heard

SET DEFAULT & TEST MIC
Click "Recording" tab.
To set required (webcam) mic as default - click on mic font to highlight and click "Properties"
In lower dropbox display "Use this device enable" click 'OK'
Click "Levels" tab and ramp up sliders ( adjust to suit later)
Return to "Recording". Test mic by speaking and make sure volume graph displays

Restart computer

The volume control on my casio px-120 does not work. I can hear the speakers crackle when I try to adjust the volume but the music stays the same.

ok your volume control has bit/dust in it you need to strip it down as best you can and spray wd-40 into the control this will release all the grit in the control knob (trim pot) and should work fine then..

Yamaha psr-240 lights up but no sound.. no sound from head phones either. Seems to be working with exception of sound out..

try placing your ear on the speakers, adjust the volume control up and down several times, you should hear a humming sound that goes up and down. if not problem with the stage before the amplifier, that is the sound processor. if you dont hear the hum. problem with the amplifier and speakers, including the sound ports or jack. dissassemble the unit. look for loose connections from speakers to amplifier.

My Chatmate don't hear me But I can hear him

Check your Microphone Volume. To do that go to All Program > Accessory > Entertainment > Volume Control > Options > Properties > Tick on Mic Volume > OK
Then you will see Volume control uncheck the MUTE and rise up the volume. If this dont fix then you need to check your hardware like your mic.
Best Luck!

Volume control on my keyboard dont work on my logitech LX710

solution found at this web site: http://www.mstar.net/users/rlowens/?n=SetPoint.VolumeControl

So, you just need to "turn on application compatibility" for SetPoint.exe:
  1. Open C:Program FilesSetPoint
  2. Right click on "SetPoint.exe" (this will just be "SetPoint" for some users, with a mouse/keyboard icon) and select "Properties"
  3. Click the "Compatibility" tab and check the box by "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and choose Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
  4. Click OK
  5. You may have to turn volume all the way up/down or restart.

I want my music back!

Have you tried to raise the volume by double clicking on the speaker icon on your taskbar. This will open the play control panel where you can raise the volume.

If you do not see the speaker icon, go into your control panel and chose sounds and audio devices and raise the volume from that screen.

Cant turn up volume my compaq presario laptop

Ok it could be a few things, I am assuming that you are using XP and its a laptop, so lets try these:
  1. Can you turn up the volume by using Control Panel -- Sounds and Audio Devices --- Device Volume slider?
  2. On some Compaqs, the controls for audio are activated by holding down the FUNCTION key (usually blue letters on key on the left side of keyboard) and then pressing the audio up or audio down key. These keys are usally towards the top of the keyboard. These keys can do multiple things depending if the blue function key is press down first. They can control things like switching between internal and external displays, turning up/down the brightness on your laptop display and controling your audio levels too.
  3. Do you hear any sounds at all, if not, does Device Manager list your sound device?
  4. If this is a desktop PC, number 2 does not apply.
ok try those and let me know, Thx! =)

Have you tried plugging in a regular headphone on the headphone port to see if is a problem with your sound device ot your speakers?? Cause if you plug in a regular headphone and it sounds ok then its a problem with your speakers itself! and if its a problem with your speakers, you might need to get them replaced! When checking your volume make sure the The Main Volume Control is up and the Wave control is high also! Some PC/Laptop control audio independently of the operating system! Like there is a lil volume knob right by the speaker jack or a key combination with the Fn key. Look for speaker control on your keyboard! It will look like speakers with an up arrow or looks like more audio, you'll know when you find it! If those still don't fix your problem there is a possibility its a driver issue! Try to get the latest drivers for your audio device! regards, babb
