TomTom One bluetooth phone pairing doesn't work

I have a TomTom One bought in USA, so 2nd Edition I suppose. When I tried to pair it with my Samsung BlackJack II smartphone (bluetooth visible turned on), it found the blackjack phone fine, but when connect, it doesn't make the passcode prompt appear on the cellphone, then quickly it says there are some feature that is not available on this cell phone.

Tried with a blackberry 8803, same problem. Are these problem real or is there any hack available to pair the phone and TomTom One GPS?

    I am having the same problem with the TT1 and the BJ II. There is a message on the TT1 which indicates that there is only a Voice Gateway (only appears for a moment); it then goes to the error screen.

    When I paired the BJ II with my computer, I found a voice gateway & a OBEX Object Push.

    I used to use the TT1 with a Nokia E62 (which paired fine). For the E62, I found the following on my computer:

    - Dial up networking

    - Imaging

    - OBEX file transfer

    - OBEX object push

    I suspect that the BJ II bluetooth stack doesn't have necessary support to allow for it to pair to the TT1.

    Would appreciate it if anyone has any further info on this.

    Thanks.

I'm not sure if this helps but i have a samsung sgh-a516 and at first all i could pair with my phone was wireless (the one feature i will never use). Randomly i get a phone call on my cell with my tomtom on and somehow spontaniously it just decides it wants to connect via handsfree? I was playing around in the tomtom options today and in preferences i selected send file (at the very end of choices in the menu) and tried sending a song from my tom tom to my phone it took 2 trys but finaly it found my phone and sent the file , i refreshed the bluetooth service list on my phone and sure enough object push was added i then deleted my phone from tomtom and repaired it. needless to say i can now trasnsfer my contacts and talk handsfree when in the beginning my 920 would only recognize a wireless service. All i can say is try and play around with settings on both devices and you might be in luck and trick them to work. I hope this helps

Hi, I have a new Navman MY75T GPS that paired with my Samsung phone the first time I tried it, but now it has lost the pairing capability. The model is an SGHA 561. I cannot get the GPS to recognise the...

try pairing the phones with a hands free device, if they pair and work, the problem is the gps, also remember that most phones can only pair with one bluetooth device at a time , so if you pair to the gps then pair to a handsfree device, the gps connection will be lost .

I have paired my blackberry with my tomtom go 930 the phones says paired but the tom tom can't seem to find the phone?

I detest cell phones, but here's how I got my wife's BB8100 and BB8800 to connect to my GO930:
1) Press the button with 7 dots in a circular pattern (Menu?);
2) Click "Options";
3) Click "Bluetooth";
4) Click "TomTom GO 930" (yours may differ);
5) Click "Full Menu";
6) Click "Options";
7) Change "Discoverable" to "Yes";
8) Press the button with the curved arrow (Return?);
9) Click "Save";
10) Click the curved-arrow button until the menus are gone.
The TomTom should now be able to connect to the BB.

Had to do something similar on the iPhone 4 before it could connect (haven't found a "Trust" option yet).

What is the bluetooth passkey code?

When you are pairing your TOMTOM with a BlueTooth-enabled cellular phone, your TomTom will ask you to enter "0000" when the phone asks for a pin. In order not to have to enter the pass code every time you want to connect to the phone, declare the TomTom as a trusted device.
When you are pairing the two make sure that the phone is "visible for xxxx minutes" or "always visible".

Tomtom 930 will not pair with Interphone 4

Sadly, it's not possible to do what you want.

The lower cost, non bike specific units only have limited BT capability - so that they can act as a handsfree for a phone - which is what Interphone does, so there's fundamental incompatibility.

The best units with Interphone are Garmin Zumo 550 (NOT 660) or TomTom Rider 2.

Only one person can hear the gps (and the range is only 10m from Interphone to gps)

Your best bet could be to get phones with gps capability - it's free on some of the new Nokias.

Tomtom 920 bluetooth disabled

repair both ...start fresh from start.....do a hard restart on the TomTom...this is located on the last menu of your tomtom...Factory reset...it will erase recent destinations and favorites....but it usually clears the tomtom....Now try to repair both the phone and the tomtom

Problems pairing blacberry bold to tom tom 510

First check tomtom site if the phone is compatible, not all are.
If so enable blue tooth on both items and detectable as well
Power up phone and select a feature with bluetooth update on your tomtom. In most cases it finds the phone, commenes a check out of its capabilities and will tell you the result. Could be negative

you have blackberry 8000 bold i take it

seeing the chart should be OK only no SMS possible.

Phone compatability

Theoretically any Bluetooth-enabled phone will work with your device. However, there are certain phones by different manufacturers known to have issues pairing with the TomTom. The BEST way around this is to take your GO 730 into the store with you, and actually test it out prior to purchasing it to make sure it will pair correctly.

I could not pair my telus samsung phone with the tomtom 730

Is bluetooth enabled on both devices?
Do both devices detect each other?
Have you entered the bluetooth access code correctly?
What else have you tried, and what's the model number of your cell phone?
