Everytime I tred to turn my camera on it said "battery empty". It doesn't let me charge it or anything.
I had the same problem.
First the obvious, Is your charger actualy charging? Have you tried another Battery?
Sometimes the charger led turns green, when it actualy never charged the battery.
Jiggle the battery around to make sure it is seated securely. If in doubt find a friend with a Volt meter (VOM ) and check that the battery voltage is 3.7v to 4.0v when fully charged.
Assuming that you now have a fully charged battery. it's time for a little house cleaning. Use a Q-tip and Isopropal alcohol .99 cents a bottle. (Not Rubbing, it contains lanolin).
Gently clean the contacts on the charger and the battery. You dont need a lot. A little dab'l do ya. You can also clean the contacts on the charger with a pencil eraser if they look a little corroded.
Now it gets a little more fun. Look down inside the camera battery compartment and make sure the spring contacts are sticking up far enough to contact the battery, also make sure the battery eject spring is not bent and interfering with the contacts or the battery.
If you feel confident, gently, very gently, clean the contacts in the camera.
Only wipe towards the center once or twice. If you wipe the other way, you will have
cotton fibers wrapped around the contacts. not good ! If you do not feel confident cleaning inside the battery bay, Dont!....... send it to Olympus. I hope that does the trick for you. Nice taste in cameras by the way. Sumthin
