Question about Toshiba Satellite L555D-S7910 Notebook
Im trying to connect to my wireless router and it won't connect. I have other devices connected to it so I know its working atleast. im using a Satellite L555D and I have a Netgear router. i've checked the device manager and there are no drivers missing. everytime I try to connect to the router it just does nothing for ages. I tried connecting to a neighbours router and almost instantly I get asked for a network key.

Hi, There have been some compatibility issues with certain wireless cards. First try (for a short time) to remove any encryption you have set up on your wireless system. If the laptop logs on now, this is the problem I've confronted a few times. Try the different types of encryption that your router provides. If that doesn't work, I'd send the Netgear back (if its under warranty) explaining the problem. If there is no help there, maybe you should get the same model of router as next door. Hope this helps
