Most Volvo codes are not available for free from anywhere on the Internet as access is required to the original factory database

However many Volvo dealers will give you the code for free if you have the correct paperwork and Serial Numbers.

Try more than one if the first one tries to charge you.

If not, then you will have to use a Radio Decoding Service....but that won`t be free

Cassette display only off and not working what can i do?

This means someone tried to enter the code into the radio 3 times wrong. You have to turn the key into the number one position and leave it ther for 2 hour. You need to make sure the radio is on with the off displayed on the radio. Make sure the lights are off so the battery does not die. I know this **** because i had to do this with my V70 when i bought it. After the two hours the radio will reset and you can enter you code into the radio. If you dont have the code you can get it from a volvo dealer. Just dont let them charge you. It is a free service.

I have just bought a second hand replacement sc 901 for my volvo but it does not have the security code with it. How can I obtain this.

The SC-901 radio is made by ALPINE and is very secure.

The code will only be obtainable from your Main Volvo Dealer or by using a Radio Decoding Service.

The majority of Volvo codes will not be available for free from anywhere on the Internet as access is required to the original factory database.

However many Volvo dealers will give the code for free providing you have the car documents , VIN and other info.

Try ringing around to see what they say

Radio display reads off for 2002 s40 volvo/cd player wont work

Hello there. I have a Volvo V70 that I bought recently and it had the same problem. I left the ignition switched on for about two hours and after that time the reading had changed from OFF to Code. I then entered the code and Hey Presto It worked. When I purchased the car it too had no code. I went to a Volvo Dealership, with proof of ownership of the vehicle i.e. Log Book and proof of ID , I used my Passport, and they gave me the radio code. The only dowside was I had to pay them £10 for this code but I feel it was worth it. I suggest you try this too. Good Luck.

I need a radio unlock code for a Volvo/Alpine Radio

You need to send it back to the manufacturer. Only they can unlock it. Obviously, you are the only one of 25 plus people with the same problem that actually sounds legit!! A lot of thes units are stolen with or without the new owners knowledge.

Seriously, just look up service for the brand and send it to them

Need radio code for a 1993 Volvo 940 GL

I'm pretty sure that you can call any Volvo dealer and get the code...talk to the service manager.

You can pay for codes online but there is no real need to.
