Is NOT -- what?

It is highly unlikely that the setting circle on low cost telescopes is accurate enough to actually use.

SOURCE: The DEC setting circle on my Konusmotor 90 is not fixed

This is a small equatorial mount. The setting circles are very inaccurate on these small telescopes -- you will NOT be able to find anything in the sky, even if you set them properly. Sorry.

You bought an equatorial mounted telescope which is never recommended for a beginner. However I have posted instructions for aligning the mount on Polaris on my profile page in the TIPS section. Read those instructions. You must first align the scope on the North star in order to use the telescope.

My 2007 checy impala read "calibration complete" what does that mean ????

CALIBRATION COMPLETE
Refer to Electronic Compass Calibration do you have an owners manual ?
Compass Calibration
The compass direction will show CAL if it needs to be calibrated. Before calibrating the compass, drive the vehicle to an area that is magnetically clean (free of large metallic objects).
  1. Turn ON the ignition.
  2. Before calibrating the compass, make sure the compass is set to the variance zone in which the vehicle is travelling. See Compass Magnetic Variation Adjustment below.
  3. Press the vehicle information button until the PRESS TO CALIBRATE COMPASS screen is displayed.
  4. Press the set/reset button to start the compass calibration.
  5. The DIC will display CALIBRATING: DRIVE IN CIRCLES. Drive the vehicle in circles at less than 8 km/h (5 mph) to complete the calibration. The DIC will display CALIBRATION COMPLETE when the calibration is complete.

How do you slow circles to calibrate on a 2006 ford 500

Calibrating the compass? Drive to an empty car parking lot and drive 5 circles one way and then 5 circles the other way. Not too fast.

That light is an engine malfunction light. You need a code reader to tell where the fault is.

Need instructions on how to assemble

Sorry no manuals are available on the internet for this scope. Look on Bushnell telescope site and see if one is similar to your scope.

I need a manual for the konusmotor 90 telescope...mine is 5 years old, the gold colored on. Can I get one free on line? Dave

There are no manuals on-line for that imported telescope. Locate a local Astronomy club and the members will help you with your telescope.

I have a KonusMotor -70 Refractor Telescope that didn't come with a manual. I'm lost as to how to set it up and use it.. Help.

This is probably a refractor setting on an equatorial mount.

You will not find a manual. However Meade brand telescopes maintains a web site with manuals. They all assemble pretty much the same way. Look at this web site under REFRACTOR header for one that is similar to your scope.

Calibrating compass

Yes you can. What you have to do is press the mode button on the driver info center(DIC).Press and hold the set button for 3 seconds. The DIC will display the zone. This is what part of the country you live in.What state your in.I don`t know what Zone your in so I don`t know if it is in the correct zone or not. They go from i-15.This will determine how accurate your compass will be.If you press set it will change the zones. If it is the correct zone then press the mode set button til the DIC displays calibrate compass.Press set and the DIC will tell you to drive in circles.Find a large empty parking lot to do this.I just crank the steering wheel and keep going in circles. The DIC will say calibrating. When the compass shows direction and temperature it is done calibrating and you can stop driving in circles.Hope this helps.Good luck.If you need to know what Zone your in Just post back with the state you live in and I can tell you the zone.

Compass out of whack

You need to recalibrate the compass. The procedure is in your owners manual. Here are the basic steps.

First, you will need to verify that your compass zone is set to your current geographic location. Since I do not know where you are located, I cannot tell you the code. They are listed in the manual. (For example, So Cal is zone 5.)

Second, here is the compass calibration adjustment procedure:

Perform this adjustment in an open area free from steel structures and high voltage lines. For optimum calibration, turn off all electrical accessories (heater/air conditioning, wipers, etc.) and make sure all vehicle doors are shut.
1. Start the vehicle.
2. To enter the compass calibration mode, press and hold the button for greater than eight seconds. The display will then show CAL in the display window.
3. Drive the vehicle slowly (less than 3 mph) in circles until CAL indicator turns off. As many as 5 complete circles may be required.
4. The compass is now calibrated.
