Question about Crafts & Hobbies
Master Mechanic glue gun model 207 stopped working. Stick will no longer feed into the gun. Is there a thermal overload on the gun and could it have just shut down? Gun was completely cooled and then reheated with no improvement. How do you clean out the gun?

Try cleaning the glue stick slot out with acetone (nail polish remover) and a paper towel, or cue tips if you have to get into a small area. that should help to break down any dried glue that may be blocking a new stick from feeding in, or may be blocking the heating element

There is a glue build up inside. Most likely in the feeding mechanism, try to heat it up, the unplug, and use like a paper rolled up to try to remove some of the glue. :)

Testimonial: "I ended up removing the tip and heating it with a torch to clean it out."

A hot glue gun is a very useful tool for joining modelling
materials and even more substantial materials can be fixed together with it.
'Sticks' of solid glue are pushed into the back of the gun, the trigger is
pressed pushing the glue stick forward and molten glue comes out of the nozzle.
The glue is manufactured from thermoplastics.
