I am looking to replace my Whirlpool Model ED25SMXLNRO. The problem is I only have 68 1/2 inches max and your new models seem to be 68 7/8". Is there a solution. This refrigerator wooked for 24 years and my wife does not want a french door if possible, all though they would fit.

Ive just put a new grid cutter in my whirlpool ice maker but it is not heatinh up to cut the ice sheets into cubes. Any ideas what to do next?

Yes the next step is to check the voltage on the secondary side of the grid transformer found in the photo on page 30 of the=> 15 and 18 inch Whirlpool Ice Maker Service Manual

GI15NFLXS Grid Transformer

I hope the manual is a big help in resolving the ice cutting problem and please ask should you have any questions. The secondary side of the transformer should be showing a least 8.5 volts ac. Let me know if you are able to find the problem, Thanks Sea Breeze
The 18 inch ice maker takes the same grid transformer as the 15 inch model.

How do I replace cold control on a whirlpool refrigerator

These are not to hard to replace. You will need to gain access to the control panel to change this part. Once inside there are tabs and wires that will need to be removed.
Here is a diagram of the control panel.

I have a side by side whirlpool water filteration system fridge and I need to know how to replace the water filter on the fridge

I can only guess because I don't know your model number. At the bottom of the fridge at the front there should be a round knob or handle about 2 to 21/2 inches, you should be able to turn this and pull out the long filter tube, take the number off it and get a new one.

Ice maker not working

i know it may sound crazy but what i do is buy a whole new kit for the box and pull the whole icemaker out and replace it. you will have lots of salvageable parts left over for the future. the reason i do this is a couple of parts will cost you as much as a whole new kit and guarantee you fix the part thats broken, the spare parts left over come in handy now and then, the new kit itself will have a warranty, the parts wont. it is lots quicker and easier to replace the whole maker than to take it apart and guess which thingy is at fault. i told you it was crazy sounding but hey, i'm a pro and this is what i do. mine was 68 dollars for two parts and 110 for the whole new kit. good luck
