If the walking belt is off-center, first remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. If the walking belt has shifted to the left, use the hex key to turn the left idler roller bolt clockwise 1/2 of a turn; if the walking belt has shifted to the right, turn the left idler roller bolt counterclockwise 1/2 of a turn. Be careful not to overtighten the walking belt. Then, plug in the power cord, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes.

The belt keeps moving towards the left side of the treadmill and rubs the side. How can I adjust the belt to fix the problem? It is a Weslo Cadence SR12 model. Thanks!

There are Allen bolts on both sides of the bottom on the front (away from the console) of the treadmill. Turn one one way and the other the other way to adjust the belt. If this does not work, your belt is probably worn and stretched and needs to be replaced. See Treadmill Parts to order a new one.

Depending on which side of the belt is being rubbed is where I looked. If it is rubbing on the inside, I would suspect one of the blade being bound up and not turning.

If it is on the outside I would suspect something to do with the shield.

to get the belt back to the rite. first loosen the the right side and then tighten the left. so if you did 2or 3 turns on the right side then you do the same on the left. you want equal tension on both sides. this is what keeps the belt centered. the bolts that tighten the belt should have a washer in front of it there are two kinds of washers . flat and star I recommend star more gripping power

It makes a rattling noise when i turn on and it keeps going on when im driving. People toll me it could be the A/C Compressor. How can i fix it myself?

Actually, any belt driven accessory could be the cause of the rattling noise, A/C compressor being one of them.

Maybe try to remove the belt, and then spin and check for side to side play of each of the pulleys.

The bearings in one of the turnable pulleys may be going bad.

The belt does not need to be replaced more than likely. The problem is probably because that adjustment bolt is stripped out causing it loosen and keeping it over on that side. ProForm sells star washers that help them stay steady and not slip out. I would call them and ask for a couple of star washers and a new adjustment bolt for that left side.

Rotation noise from rear end while riding

If the rubbing sound you have does not have a metalic sound to it then try rubbing a bar of soap on the inner side of the drive belt. Sometimes we keep our rides too clean and remove the natural lube in this area causing a sound as you describe

there should be adjustment screws on the rear roller.
only adjust one of them (usually the left) if the belt rubs on the left turn the screw clockwise 1/4 turn and if the belt rubs on the right turn counterclockwise. Make small adjustments until the belt stays in the center

My 05 road king drive belt is worn on one side. when looking down at the belt from inner side edge towards the center it is worn 1/4 inch across like the belt is rubbing on something. I'll replace the belt...

Has the bike been lowered? If so, this decreases the clearance at the top side of the belt where it goes behind the inner primary cover. Also there may be a belt guard rubbing somewhere. Remove the belt guards and use a flashlight to look for something rubbing.

When you replace the belt, you'll be able to see anything that might be rubbing the belt. Usually there is a noise associated with something rubbing the belt. If you hear a noise, determine what the bike is doing when you hear it. Is it going up or down after hitting a bump or something? Do you only hear the noise when you've got a passenger on the bike?
