if you buy a color coded cord and plug then red and black go on thee 2 outer terminals of the power terminal and the white wire goes between these as this is the neutral connection and if it has a green ground wire connect this anywhere to the metal case of the unit, if its a gray cord with no colors then the 2 outer wire on the cord go to the outer terminals on the units power terminal block and the center wire on this cord goes to the center terminal on the unit
Hey white to white, black to black red to the multi colored pole, and the green one is the ground wire,, . I done that before,, lol,, good luck ,, thanks
Is this dryer electric or gas heated...if electric...did you wire it properly...electric dryers use 220 VAC and have a very large plug on them...usually there is a black, red. white, and green wire...the white is neutral, the green is ground and the red, black are the L1 and L2 hot leads...these need to be wired to the 2 hot terminals in order for the dryer to function properly
The 4 wire cord will connect as follows. Red and Black wires connect to the 2 outside terminals on the back of the dryer. The White wire connects to the center terminal. The Green wire connects to the grounding screw just outside the terminal cover on the rear of the machine.
the wires may not be hooked up right. make sure the red goes to red, black to black, white to white.and the green one screwed to the groung screw.
i have had this problem where all the components check out good and the power was correct, and the unit would still not heat, the end problem was the wiring from the main breaker box was incorrect and not carrying enough current to operate the machine properly.you may have to have the wiring check for proper current flow.the voltage maybe good but the amps and current may not be porper.
if you have a electric stove with the same kind of cord you can move the range out and plug your dryer in there just to check the operation of the dryer.
Your four prong cord has 4 wires. Black,Red,Green and White. Remove the 3 prong cord from the dryer. The Black and Red wires go to the outside terminals on the dryer. The White wire goes top the center terminal. The Green wire goes outside the terminal cover to any nearby screw for grounding.
there is no wireing digran inside the back pannal
