F the walking belt slips when walked on, first remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD.Using the hex key, turn both idler roller bolts clockwise,1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is correctly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the walking belt 2 to 3 in. (5 to 7 cm) off the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Then, plug in the power cord, insert the key, and carefully walk on the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened.

SOURCE: belt problem

Sounds like the belt is loose. To tighten the belt, start by locating the two bolts that adjust the rear roller (one on each side of the unit in the back). Run the unit at about 3 mph. Tighten the bolts a 1/4 turn at a time. Make sure that what you do to one side, you MUST do to the other side or the belt will get off center. After you tighten it 1/4 turn, check the belt to see if it is still slipping. If it is then tighten the belt 1/4 turn again. Continue until the belt does not slip, but do not tighten the bolts more than 2 full turns.

My Rockola Tempo 1, just stopped mid record. Previously the carousel would slow down/hesitate at a certain point when selecting, but never stopped. Switched it on occasionally, with no movement.

I would put money on the belt snapping. 5 years is about right. Especially if you do not use it often. The slow down and hesitate is even more indication of a belt getting hard and then slipping and snapping. They need to keep moving to stay soft. Get a new belt and you will be likely good to go.

Turntable running slow

Hi Ken,

it is a Technics Frequency Generator Servo (Belt drive SL-23). I have four different belts and neither one of them works. Two are too slow and one is too fast and the other one is slow and fast.

I changed the belt before that I got off of an old turn table. It deteriorated.

I would appreciate any help.

So far I am also having Gateway Monitor problems and Canon Mp560 printer problems

Thank you,.

Technofit ts500I treadmill When its running the treadmill starts and runs fine. However when I get on it, it the speed becomes jerky running slow fast slow fast making it impossible to use.

If someone spilled a drink on the belt, it will become sticky as it dries. The belt will try to stick to the bed of the treadmill. Loosen belt, wipe clean the bed, underside of belt, and end rollers.

My Nad belt drive turntable is running slow any ideas

stretched belt or needs lube, those are the easiest things, with the unit on, remove the disc so you can get to the belt, take it off the motor and see if the RPM's increase a lot, lube the center spindle with a light oil, and check for easy spinning ,, replace the belt, and turn the disc back and forth, if you see slippage or a binding in the belt, ( like a little loop wanting to develop) replace the belt, if the belt seems to be just slipping, clean all the contact points of the b elt with rubbing alcohol

Chsnged water pump and timing belt now hesitates

Is it possible that the cam shaft is one tooth out. This can happen as you tension the belt. This is probably your problem if the car was running fine before and this was the only work you did. Remember to spin the engine round for two revolutions using a spanner on the crankshaft pulley with the engine switched off. If the engine locks up or it is stiffer than it should be at any point, you have a valve touching the piston so do not start it, go back and try and get the marks to line up before trying again. This will require you to loosen the timing belt again.

1998 dodge ram 1500, front seats belts retracted and will not release. What do I check? Dealership said would have to replace the front seats. This truck only has 33,000 miles and garage kept. Please...

This may be a problem with the catch and release gear where the seat belt rolls up. The mechanism is supposed to catch only when the belt is tugged fast. Usually if you **** the belt back and forth a few times then pull really really slow the belt should release. If it does not then remove the plastic covering for the spool and look for foreign objects or bent parts.

At times belt hesitates

Sounds like either the belt is loose or the belt/deck need to be lubed.

I need to know what the brand and model is to be able to tell you how to lube the treadmill.
