Out of range message seen after installed new software and reboot?
This trouble maybe power supply or inverter boards is defective.

Native resolution of this VIEWSONIC is1280x 1024 @60Hz.
You will get that message because the PC is putting out higher resolution than it can display.

The monitor will display out of range message because the PC video resolution is too high for the monitor to display, the new software may have changed or corrupt the video seting, try booting up in safe mode (hit f8 while computer booting up) and set the video resolution to 640 x 480, then reboot in regular mode, then reset the resolution to the native resolution of this monitor which is 1280x1024@60Hz.
