Screen is blank, but the mouse cursor moving

Please let me know if this happens while the system boots or at initial stage of booting.. (Before login Screen appears). If that is the case, then you may have to repair your OS or check for any new hardware added to the system. It wouldnt be a VGA issue as it shows the cursor movin, VGA is working fine. If this is happening after login session, It could be due to explorer.exe being corrupt or some backend process capturing the screen. Try it.. Good luck.

You can try going back to previous settings (Restore Settings)

When you start the computer start pressing the F5 key and when the new screen comes select safe mode and boot up your computer. Now goto Start-->Accessories-->System Tools-->System Restore. Restore your system to a previous version of working settings. It will take a few minutes and then reboot your pc.
Hope this helps!

If tried the monitor on two other computers with the same result -- definitly your monitor is faulty. Take it to the repair shop. To make double sure, run your computer with another monitor. If everything is fine now; you can blame the monitor.
