Question about Epson P-5000 Digital Media Player
I dropped my Epson P5000. Picked it up switched it on and thankfully it worked fine. Used it a number of days and it worked fine. One day it froze up and I had to remove battery to sort it out. Ran fine for another two times. Then it switched on and will do nothing showing the lock symbol on screen even though not in the lock position. Now it will only switch on if connected to the power supply and still shows the lock symbol and a flat battery symbol. Does not seem to charge. Please help before I take it in. It is out of warranty.

You have possibly damaged or disturbed internal connections which only an engineer can fix due to fiddly parts and a dust free environment, It hinges on the cost of repair?
Check on ebay etc to find its current value and use that as a guide to compare with a repair quote, if its not worth it put it up for auction to recoup some cash against a new one.
All you can do is check any removable parts battery, card etc are secure, their internals are frail to damage. Check for home contents policy against accidental damage?
Sorry, hope this helps...................
