Is there an adjustment to have pilot light stay on after given length if time. Our rev oven pilot takes longer then one minute. About 1 1/2 min

No it is a safety feature that the pilot has to heat up the thermocouple to assure the main gas valve that the pilot is alight and hot.

New oven, but goes out soon after lighting but stays alight on second attempt

Better call maker and have them come out and fix it before something bad happens (still under warranty?).
Either that or return it!!!

Push knob in on oven sparks & lights release knob flames go out

Often on ovens you have to hold the knob down for a period of time before the flame will stay alight.

Try getting the oven lit then holding the knob down for 30 seconds. That should be more than enough time if that is indeed the problem.

Is it a new oven or has the problem just arisen? It

Westinghouse oven LPG 527 wont stay alight and grill wont start

Normally the grill is completely separate to the oven. Press the ignitor before you turn on the grill, as, to ignite, oxygen needs to be present (ie: not flooded with gas) . and you should be able to see the spark from the ignitor in the grill. if you can't, then you may have problems with your ignition pack or ignition leads.

Describe what could be the problem if my oven will light but not stay alight once I release the gas button

That could be one of 3 things: The thermocouple could be bad, the hole that the thermocouple screws into could have corrosion and causing a loss of electrical current to the safety magnet. Or the safety magnet itself is bad. The thermocouple when heated generates electricity. The magnet inside the valve is powered by the thermocouple. If the pilot light goes out the magne looses energy and the spring attached to it shuts off the flow of gas. Pretty clever ain't it?

The oven light on our FX5847 will not go out when the door is closed. I have manually pushed the switch when the door is open but it stay alight. Any ideas? Derek Tisdall

It sounds like the switch contacts are stuck together, If I were you, I would fit a new door switch.
Please leave feedback.
