Which battery holder are you using? The small one or the grip MB-15? If it is the MB-15 make sure it is screwed in tight. If it is the small one then make sure your batteries are in the correct direction. If that does not work call Nikon Film 1-800-645-6687.

D80 will not turn on...battery fully charged

I would contact Nikon tech support at www.nikon.com. They may be able to give you some suggestions. It appears from what you said that the camera is not seeing the battery and that may indicate that your contacts in the battery compartment are dirty and need cleaning.

The radio has gone completely dead, no power going in. I have checked the plus fuse, changed the lead and used a different electric point but nothing has changed. Any ideas?

Hey there!
It seems the circuit cell has gone dead. Which caused it so 'suddenly' not work any longer. I suggest you get in contact with the customer care for the device and they can change the circuit board. Because if just one circuit is dead, the whole board is dead too.
I wish you all the best and if you need anymore assistance, feel free to reply back and contact me.

Thank you for using FixYa.

I hope that I helped you & that this post helps you at most!

Nikon Coolpix 5700 was working fine, now it won't turn on. Batteries are fine, but camera just won't power up at all. No error message, nothing but a dead (black) screen. No idea why it won't come on--it's...

Two quick suggestions first is the battery chamber contacts clean make sure they are clean. Are you using a battery pack with rechargeable AA's ? if so check the battery orientation it only takes one out of place. If you are using the rechargeable battery I know you said the batteries were fine but make sure the power is up on the rechargeable. I've had it where I put a battery on charge knowing it was pretty well dead came back 5 minutes later and the light was green, took the battery of the charger unplugged the charger plugged the charger back in and put the battery back on the charge. It then completed its true cycle.

Camera will not power up

If like most film cameras this one has been sitting for a while unused the batteries are most likely dead AND there might be a considerable amount of corrosion in the battery compartment. All that corrosion needs to be removed before your F100 will work again.

Nikon F100 Lower focusing point cannot be selected, other four can. What would be the most possible malfunction.

My suggestion call Nikon at: Nikon Film 1-800-645-6687
They will be able to tell you if it needs to go in for service; it sounds as though it does.

Cannot get the unit to turn on, I have changed the batteries and the unit is absolutely dead, any ideas?

Clean the battery contact inside and on the battery cover with a pencil eraser. Just rub on them until shiney. DO NOT use sand paper or anything abrasive since that damage may may it more prone to corrosion. If cleaning the contacts does not work it will need to be sent to KNion.

Camera will not power up changed battery just went dead Nikon D70

Are you getting any power from it? How about an error message?

Try blowing some compressed air into the battery chamber. There might be some debri or dust in there. Try replacing the battery to see if that solves it. (Someone you know must own a D70).

Nikon F100 dead

I do know that on earlier models like the N90s and 8008s, the small nut that holds the battery clip in place activated a cut off switch. If the switch was faulty, the camera would not turn on. There may be a similar switch in the F100.
