I see a few problems with the coversion to 220VAC I will send a set of manuals and a phone number. Here is what the instalation manual says about wiring. If codes permit and a separate ground wire is
used, it is recommended that a qualified electrician
determine that the ground path is adequate.
Check with a qualified electrician if you are not
sure whether the range is properly grounded.
Do not ground to a gas pipe
A 120-volt, 60-Hz, AC-only, 15-ampere, fused
electrical circuit is required. A time-delay fuse or
circuit breaker is recommended. It is recommended
that a separate circuit serving only this range be
Electronic ignition systems operate within wide
voltage limits, but proper ground and polarity are
necessary. In addition to checking that the outlet
provides 120-volt power and is correctly grounded,
the outlet must be checked by a qualified
electrician to see if it is wired with correct polarity.
The wiring diagram is included in the literature
package. The wiring diagram can also be found on
the back of the range.
NOTE: The metal chassis of the range must be
grounded in order for the control panel to work. If
the metal chassis of the range is not grounded, no
keypads will operate. Check with a qualified
electrician if you are in doubt as to whether the
metal chassis of range is grounded.
I was thinking it would help you to know and not have your question unanswered. Good news or bad. Personally I see no problem stepping down the voltage and making a typical receptical. My views do not change requirements so best I follow those that made the eletrical requirements. Another problem is the cycles or hz. HZ is defined like this 1 Hertz = one time per second ad 60 is 60 per second. In europe and most countries outside the USA operate on 220 V @50 hz. A typical 120 V clock would run slower and a record player also. I think it would be better if you use something designed for the local area you are moving to. Hello id like another philips noreclo G370 charger... the one i own dosent work id like to know how much would it cost me to buy a new one and have it shipd to israel

Hi goldwhite,

From the U.S., you can order parts, including chargers, @ The price is $29.98 per unit. I would suggest ordering it in the U.S., shipped to perhaps a friend or family member who can then ship to you overseas - I have done this in the past and found it works best.

You can also contact Philips Consumer Care with additional questions or for more information:

In the U.S.A: 1-800-243-3050

Hope this helps!

Yes,all burners spark as a safety feature in the event any gas knob is turned on.
The non sparking burner could be from a bad spark electrode, poor grounding on the burner cap or a bad spark switch for that burner.

Well for sure the washer is going to be 110v. Only electric dryers are 220v!. If your dryer doesnt have a gas connection on it then it is a electric 220v dryer. If it has gas connection then it is 110v gas dryer. there is no such thing as a 220v gas dryer!!!.

Does Garmin GPS 295 contains Maps for Africa and the Middle East

Hi there -

The GPSMap 295 can only have one region at a time - North America, South America, etc. You can purchase an updated database specifically for Africa and the Middle East - it's about $50 USD. It will erase whatever region you have in there right now (you can't store Africa/MidEast with America, for instance. It's one at a time.)

The Garmin Website:

lets you download new Jeppesen databases to your GPSMap 295. Select your model, then select which region you want.

***Before you buy:*** You'll have to have the data cable to connect it to your computer. Without that, you will have no way to update the maps and database.

If you do have the data cable, the process is very easy - just follow the instructions carefully, and make sure all the numbers they ask you for are correct. I just did mine today. Good luck!

You want to be careful using some parts that may ship from the UK. You want to be sure the parts that they ship to you are for a standard 120V machine and not a 220V. This may be the difference you are seeing in the temp gauge.

Oven not working

Check continuity on gas valve. the middle connector is common, upper is broil and bottom is bake. Resistance between common and bake should be about the same as between common and broil. I believe you'll need to set the ohmmeter to KOhms (or x1000.

If no continuity between any of the connectors - replace gas valve (not much fun, and part is expensive).
