Question about Washing Machines

2 Answers

Hi, I have just moved into a new apartment and cannot get the indesit WD11 to work. Partly I suspect the problem could be that I have never used a front loading machine before (I realise this is unusal but in New Zealand we are dominated by top loaders :) However, the main dial just keeps turning and clicking through all the stages continuously and nothing seems to work as it should. Any suggestions?

Yeah, i have the same prob. Its the worst, shittiest washing machine in the world and apartment owners in NZ love them. you have to put the dial on the to the reset and keep pushing until it flashes slowly. Then put the dial on the settingbyou want and keep pushing the button until it has a steady light. should start working without clicking thru the cycles. f%##%@ frustrating.

Any suggestions to washing machine which works with irregular water supply?

all models have a water level sensor in them that you set according to the wash load you have
when you turn them on the water flows until the level set switches off the inlet tap and proceeds to wash
regardless of the water pressures and delivery, the wash will not proceed until the water level setting is reached
the problem that you face is that during the rinse cycle , there may not be enough water available to rinse within the rinse/ spin cycle

I have an Indesit WIXL123 washing machine that wont drain! Have checked all pipes, no blockage, have replaced pump but it still refuses to work! Any ideas?

Since I have never physically worked on a Indesit, I can only tell you what a normal washing machince diagnosis would be: Drain pump is not functioning. Possibly something clogging the intake (count you socks) or just stopped working.

My supplier does not have Indesit parts so can't give you the part number for the drain pump.

Keeps tripping the electric indesit wdg1295w washing machine

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Sorry but with such a fault it is extremely difficult for anybody on this forum to remotely guess what is wrong with your washer.
It could be internal wiring/plugs sockets, control panel switches, control PCB, water inlet control valves, door solenoid as primary suspects. Secondary suspects could be main motor, drain motor.
I fear that your only real option is a service call as the engineer will have the right equipment to safely diagnose what is wrong.
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

My washer just like **** up all my clothes... it there anyway that this can be fix? The clothes are torn and destroyed. And i really don't have the money to replace it.

Look in the drum to see if the seams have come apart. This seems to be a big problem with Indesit machines. Here is a link to the new drum should you find that the current one faulty. Here is the Customer Service link for Indesit.

Change grip/handle on a indesit washing machine w105tx

Undo any screw that you can see on the inside of the door frame, and then prize the two halves apart,
This should give you access to the door handle assy.
Hope this helps.

My indesit WG1230 washing machine does not spin or move drum but water go in and out.

Hi,
With the door open, try spinning the drum, there should be some resistance along with a slight wherring sound. If it spins freely without much sound at all - you probably need a new belt.
If you can feel it driving the motor, you may need new contact brushes for the motor.
If the machine buzzes when it should rotate on program, you need a new motor Run capacitor also.
If no sound - nothing, the motor may need replacing or at least checking.

Fitting a drive belt to an indesit WG1130TGT washing machine. how do I release the tension to fit the belt round the motor and pulley?

Hi,
I don't have the exact same model as yours, but on my WE16 I just place the belt over the motor pulley and partly round the big wheell attached to the drum, and then turning the big wheel by hand the belt gradually goes on completely. No adjustment to the spacing is necessary, unlike, say, the alternator belt on a car.
Hope this helps ya :-) D

Remember to have the machine disconnected from the power supply when working inside it!
