ANY moisture on any electronics no matter how insignificant, or little time it is present, IF the electricity is ON, at the moment any moisture is present on the circuit board there is an instantaneous, electrochemical reaction, that usually totally destroys any components within, as currents track through the moisture, and current goes where it never should and causes failure, generally unrecoverable. So you will have to replace that entire unit with a new one.

Electrolux_els6115 flauty

Possible fault on the program controller unit , you need to remove power and see if there is any moisture on the control panel board. Use a dryer if there is moisture.
If the program does not work even after resetting there is fault within the board.

Moisture in keyboard.keyboard is not working.

If water has seeped into the keyboard then it is important that you must remove the battery from the PC. remove the keyboard and keep aside , use a hair dryer to warm the keyboard, use moisture absorbants to remove all traces before the unit can be conneccted back.

I have a GECE7006 induction cooktop and next to the timer button it is flashing "Lo" and i cannot clear it to use any of the hotplates?

Remove the main power for about few hours and then plug the unit while you press the Start/Stop button. If the panel still blinks around, check for any traces of moisture on the panel. if so dry and check. If not the processor is having some errors which needs to be checked from within and requires Tech help.

Camera got a little wet. Now it says battery not compatible.

Please remove the battery and use an hair dryer to warm very carefully so as not to damage the camera. Keep it off for a long time so that every trace of moisture is lost.,However if the battery was put in before removing traces of moisture, there is every possibility that the camera electronics could be damaged. In such case you will need to remove and clean/dry the boards , use soldering iron on components to remove trapped moisture underneath, repeat the work to ensure there is no traces of water. Now set this back and try , If the same error comes abck, I am afraid the camera electronics section has encountered a defect which might need a replacement. Get help from the Sony serrvice centre, take estimate and decide. Hope this helps you . Good day

Control panel unresponsive

open up the inner door shell after powering down the unit from the power source, wiggle and remove and replace all ribbon cable connections on the electronic control panels and any other connections you can see, moisture corrodes these connections after years and removing and re-installing these will sometimes wipe off any corrosion for a better connection to the machine the screws are on the inside of the door to access the control panel

Kenmore Elite Electric Dryer, Model # 110.8586400, Control Panel Lights inoperative, But Drum Light works fine. I am going to try this procedure, Will let you know if it works. Jay/ Jacksonville Florida...

I followed that procedure, Taking the Electronic Control Unit out of the dryer, Blow Drying the printed circuit Board (PCB) Board out and reseating P3 and P4, Worked fine.. No moisture was found in the Drum area. I forgot to tag the TECH SHEET FOR this particular dryer . But punch in Tech sheet , Part # 8546206 into google, this gives Schematic and valuable Troubleshooting steps, The only thing i could not find was the pin to pin test on chekcing the individual switches on the main functions, Suppose to be 14 pins I only found 13. But in all drying the PCB board and reseating the plugs worked for me. Again the symptons were no Light indication on ANY button depressed but the drum light was on. Air conditoner eelctronic temp setting goes up on its own as if Im pressing the button, then the controls stop working for 10 minutes

I had this happen on a Maytag unit. Condensation was getting behind the control panel, causing the buttons to short out and changing the temp. unscrew the front cover from the unit and carefully pop the tabs loose from the edges and remove the front plastic cover. then look around the control panel area and see if there is any moisture. if so, you will have to find out why it is wet (probably high air humidity). you could try stuffing some rags around the control panel and see if that keeps it dry. if its not wet around there, then you have a short somewhere, or your remote (if you have one) is malfunctioning.

How do I remove the control panel?

Figured it out. There are three screws under the lid. One of them is tough to get at, but if you remove the lid support and the phone rest the lid will open to 90 degrees. At that point the top just pulls away from the base unit. You may have to unsnap the small cover where the wires pass from the base to the top unit so you can pull enough slack in the wires to pull the top off the hinges. Once that's done removing the last screw is easy.

After the screws are out, prying around the edges of the panel unsnaps the remaining retainers and pops it right off.

The problem in our unit ended up being corrosion in the circuit area of the board. I cleaned up the corrosion and found one trace that was broken. I soldered a jumper around the broken trace. The broken trace was preventing 4 of the buttons from functioning. Once the jumper was in place all the buttons started working.

Back in business.
