SIR,i AM RUNNING IR 400 FOR 2 YEARS THIS TIME ONLY wHEN I CHANGE A DRUM THE PRINT WILL BE GOOD WHEN 200 COPIES CONTINUOUSLY TAKING THE DRUM DAMAGED IT MEANS SMALL CRACK ON THE DRUM AT THE FRONT DOOR SIDE...

Hello,
first, did you install complete Canon original drum unit or just replaced with not genuine low quality drum?
Maybe the problem is in bad quality of drum.
In original drum unit you get whole unit with new drum, blade and charge roller.

Second, you should inspect the developing cylinder, he is magnetic and in some cases something like paper clip or other metal dirt can stuck on it and cause breakage or damage of drum surface.
I recomend you to remove the toner unit, vacume it and check for foreign materials, also rotate the developing cylinder and look for damages or foreign materials.

Hope that something of this will help!

I am getting white specks on all four colors on my phaser 8500 and some black smudges. I just did a smudge clean and it helped, but it didn't clear it.

Hello.

Try a laser printer roller cleaner (paper sheets), like PathKleen or Perfect Data. You may need to run sheets through several times before the cleaning is complete. Do not use a sheet more than once.

Hope this helps.

After changing toner on my sharp, SF-2022 copy machine, the copies are coming out with black smudge marks across the paper? how/where should i clean?

This means the machine is over-toning ie using more toner than required caused by either improper toner or different brand of toner. The correct toner is sf 222T1. Replace developer and use the right toner and clean the drum and its blade. You may need to clean fuser rollers for cleaner copies.

There is a line on side of the paper when I copy

A couple of things to look for. If this is a laser style printer, pull the cartridge and look for like a finger button and a long slot below it. Hold the cartridge in the light just right, this should be a 'Cleaner' for your corona wire. Slide it several times back-n-forth, reinsert back into the unit. If this is going through an ADF ( Automatic Document Feeder ), look for a long slot that has clear glass and a light bulb underneath ? When your paper curls around, 180 deg, look for the exact location in relationship to the black line you are receiving. Clean the speck off of the glass with glass cleaner or a finger nail. Nothing metalic that would scratch the glass or you'll have way more lines.

Canon NP7161copier ( Indicates 8z and stops copying)

Dark shades on both side of the paper? Drum cleaning blade or fuser assembly. Check the upper fuser roller and the drum for build up.
