Missing Important Programs

It wont open any of my files! When I try to connect to the internet, I get an instant message. [ Which program would you like to use to open this file? Then, it only lists Internet explorer.] The only way I can get online is to force it by clicking on the sentece in that same box that says, " click here for alternative program". Also, I am missing my disc defrag program and a few other important programs. I tried to go about using the system restore and was only able to go so far. Not far enough to solve my issues. I can't find my original e-machines disc with the windows vista program. I was wondering, if I would be able to get another disc from the manufacturer and would it resolve my issues?

How Can a File Repair Error be Fixed? When an ASPX file is corrupt, the result is an error message that reads "file repair error." Fixing this error is as simple as using the appropriate program to open it. Third-party file repair software is widely available and can be downloaded for free. These programs can fix the damaged files and open it for your review.
Developed by Microsoft, the ASPX file type has become one of the most common and important file extensions. The file type also helps programmers create pages in the way they envision them. As a result, they are used for creating Windows-friendly programs. They also allow browsers to translate web pages for viewing. Without it, you will not be able to enjoy the Internet. This is why it is advised not to alter or delete ASPX files.

Virus Guide: 11 things you should know

What is a computer virus --> Computer viruses are small software programs that are designed to spread from one computer to another and to interfere with computer operation.
A virus might corrupt or delete data on your computer, use your e-mail program to spread itself to other computers, or even erase everything on your hard disk.
Computer viruses are often spread by attachments in e-mail messages or instant messaging messages. That is why it is essential that you never open e-mail attachments unless you know who it's from and you are expecting it.
Viruses can be disguised as attachments of funny images, greeting cards, or audio and video files.
Computer viruses also spread through downloads on the Internet. They can be hidden in illicit software or other files or programs you might download.
To help avoid computer viruses, it's essential that you keep your computer current with the latest updates and antivirus tools, stay informed about recent threats, run your computer as a standard user (not as administrator), and that you follow a few basic rules when you surf the Internet, download files, and open attachments.
Once a virus is on your computer, its type or the method it used to get there is not as important as removing it and preventing further infection.

How to delete messages

Many instant message programs are set, by default, to save your chat history.
This might not be a desirable feature for people who share a computer with others since it could pose a security threat.
Delete the folder in which the history is saved or delete the chat history within the instant message program.
Popular instant messenger programs, such as Yahoo!, Windows Live and Skype, simplify the process of clearing message archives.

Delete archived messages in Yahoo! Messenger.
Open Yahoo! Messenger.
Click on "Messenger" on the toolbar and select "Preferences."
Click "Clear Archive Now" to delete your chat.
Clear chat history in Windows Live Messenger.
Open the program and click the first icon from the right at the top of the box.
This is the "Show Menu" icon. Highlight "File" and click "View Message History."
Select a contact from your list to view messages from or to that contact.
Click "OK."
Click "Delete History" at the top of the "Message History" window.

Erase your conversation history in Skype.
Launch the program and click on "Privacy Settings."
Click the "Clear History" button under the "Keep History For" section.
This will delete all saved conversations.

Clean the message archives in Google Talk.
Click "Settings" on the toolbar and select "Chat" from the list of options.
Click the "Don't Save" option and click "OK."

Delete all message archives with an application.
Programs such as Cyber Scrub, WinClear and ParetoLogic Privacy Controls will delete the history from any instant messaging program, as well as tracking data from your Internet activity. Many of these programs are available for download.

Missing user32.dll

User32.dll errors come from issues inside Windows that involve the User32.dll file. This file contains important information regarding graphics details for objects such as dialog boxes. When there is an issue with the file, there will be problems when using other programs that use dialog boxes and other pop-up windows. Normally, a quick Windows update will solve all errors and problems.

Click the "Start" button and then "Run." This will open the "Run" window. Type in "wupdmgr". This will open Windows Update. It will now scan the computer to detect any necessary updates that are available from Microsoft. Turn on automatic updates by clicking "Start" again, followed by "All Programs," then "Windows Update." Select "Change Settings"; then select "Include recommended updates when downloading, installing, or notifying me about updates." Click "OK" and everything will be set. Windows will download the necessary update and install it to correct the User32.dll errors Hope this helps.
