No colour and sound

I bought haier hdtv 47 inches from korea, now its not getting tuned in india.. the picture is coming but no colour and no sound.

what can be the problem.

These Haier TVs go bad and I always install the repair kit part #?TV-3940-01
It includes the scan boards and an upgraded IC .
I can not find any kits in stock, but I know there some available online if you search or call a few places.
Mat electronics or sears parts direct may have some.

The back light is out. This could also be the power source to the back light. IF you want it repaired. Don't call a service person to come out and look at the set. They charge ALOT for that. Take it into a shop. NOTE don't transport it flat. The screen will crack.

No sound 47 inch lg? picture is perfect.

First be certain your internal speakers are turned on, Then you
May be missing voltage from power supply to main PCB, but if that is there then the MAIN PCB is the most likely issue.
Could also be your speakers, but not very common issue.
Also may be your source,if you connect a DVD player do you get sound?

check ur color settings...

also if u using a avc cable or s video component cable.

see to it that the wires are plugged in into the same colours

My 52 inch rca hdtv comes on but it looks like the screen is bowed and the colour is off.do you know of any solutions to this problem.

My rca 52 inch hdtv picture looks bowed on the top and bottom of screen. And everything looks like it has a red shadow behind it.

I want the best picture from my 50" LG plasma tv, and I just replaced my 47" LCD LG tv with this plasma and I am not impressed at all compared to my LCD. I guess my question is what a are the best picture...

Lg 47 inch tv sound

We had the same problem of pathetic sound quality and volume with a sony brava. Thats just the way they make tv's these days because most people buy a surround sound system as well. We bought logitec computer surround sound speakers for about $140 and plugged into the ear jack, problem solved, we have heaps of volume and stacks of bass.
