Question about Toshiba MD20Q41 20 in. TV/DVD Combo
My toshiba tv keeps turning itself off. What can i do to fix?
I unscrewed the back of the CRT and vacuumed off the components (tv unplugged of course, and wait a while for capacitors to loose their charge). This seemed to fix the problem. In addition to that, it got rid of the faint red hourglass lines that I had noticed when the screen was supposed to be black.

You may wish to check your system menu, as some Toshiba televisions have a setting for automatic stand-by, to switch off the unit if no buttons are pressed, or after a period of inactivity.
Press the Menu button on your remote and look for settings associated to setting the clock, as this is usually where these are.
It is difficult to give you accurate information without you specify the model number of your televisions, so you may want to reply here and let me know.
