Adding printer X1185

Trying to add the lexmark X1185 on my comp found all lexmark but the X1185 help

disconnected and reconnected usb powered off the printer and restarted the pc

    Can I download a driver for my used X1185. My computer indicate that the printer is connected, but I have no driver in my computer list. Is it possible to get a free driver on my computer?

Adding my printer back on my computer without the disk


A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer (if USB connected)> reboot your pc > unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer (if USB connected). Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection or when the WiFi light on the printer turns solid green (if WiFi connected.).


If that doesn't help, try the steps below:

  1. Disconnect the USB cable connecting the printer from your computer.
  2. On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.
  3. Delete the Lexmark print object.
  4. Reboot computer.
  5. Re-brick your printer by pulling out the power supply - black box where the power cord is plugged into on the back of the printer, and re-plug after 30 seconds.
  6. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to the computer.

Make sure the Lexmark X1100 Printer Driver is installed on your computer.
If the printer driver was already installed and working with your computer, please follow steps below:

My lexmark 2600 is ON and rdy but my comp doesnt see it after making a USB connection so i cant use it to scan and print

Hello. i am trying to get my lexmark x1185 printer to print, after replacing both cartridges/


Normal 0 This sometimes happens after changing ink cartridges, or

Could have a corrupt driver.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and when the CD software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

Don't worry, if you lost the CD. You can download the driver free from Lexmark website. Please follow this link to download the driver.

Once you are there, please put in the product name as X1185 in "search by model" field and then click on search. You will be directed to a page where you can download the driver for free.

I have a lexmark x1185 all in one printer and when I open the top to replace the cartridges they do not move to the center??? Any help???


Hello,

First of all, I would suggest you to disconnect the power supply from the back of the printer and reconnect it after 60 secs. Once you are done with this, try turning on the printer. If the carts doesn't come to the middle, then there should be something wrong with the printer hardware. Do you see any lights flashing on the printer? If you are hearing a slamming noise when powering on the printer, that is an indication that the encoder strip (the strip which holds the cartridge in position) is off! This needs to be fixed by a hardware specialist. Incase if the printer is under warranty, you could ask for a repalcement.

Printer not working


Through Add/Remove programs, uninstall all Lexmark items.

Next, make sure that the printer is deleted (Control Panel-Printers)

Disconnect the USB cable from the PC.

Reboot.

Insert the Lexmark CD, If yo uhave the correct OS drivers on the disk,and let it run. When it tells you to, connect the USB cable form the printer to the pc. __________________

Adding printer X1185


Go to www.lexmark.com Go to the drivers and download toolbar, then drivers and download a driver,,and type in your product name. The drivers are there. I just checked. All OS seem to be there.
You will simply need to download the driver from the Lexmark site.
Its pretty straight forward.
