Re: LG rear projection TV poblem
Probably your blue CRT, you can look down in it after taking back off and see if it's the fluid is contaminated. If so it will need changing. This should be done by someone who is qualified, because you can damage tv set.

I have the same problem with the Blue Haze effect at the bottom of my scree that just started happeneing about a week ago. Sony said my warranty is out of date and I have to get it repaired by a inmate, in mean a TV repair shop, whats the diffference they both still rob you. Any suggestions respond firstname.lastname@example.org
Have heard that it's a common problem, there's an issue with the optical block. Sony is susposed to be aware of the problem & has exptended the warranties on some models or offers gift cards towards the purchase of a new tv, depending on how hard u push once u get someone on the phone.
The green dot in the center sounds like a burn mark on one or more of the picture tubes inside the set, and the curved lines are telling me that you have a problem in the convergence circuits. The blue haze around everything white tells me you either have a lot of dust build up on the lens over the CRTs, or your picture tube(s) are very weak. If this set is over about 12 years old, I would replace it. I doubt if you will be able to get the green dot out of the picture without changing the tubes which would be VERY expensive.
