Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

Fisher & Paykel Smartdrive 703 - I opened the lid just before the final sin cycle, before water had finshed draining and now the machine will not restart. I have checked that the restart feature is on and I have unplugged machine overnight. It will not start at any stage of the cycle no. All seems normal until you press the Start/ Pause button and nothing happens.

Thank you. I have fiddled with something, not sure what exactly but seems to be working now. I have saved the manual for the future.
    Thanks again

Above is the engineers service and repair manual, this is what the service engineers use to troubleshoot and hopefully repair your washer. Below is a DIY troubleshooting site for backup. below that is a parts manual for you. Use these resources, and you will prevail, print them out, and keep for any future reference, this info is just invaluable. Also, usually just inside the machines, access panel, is a troubleshooting sheet, in a plastic bag.

Fisher Paykel washing machine Smartdrive 703 Advance, Power and Start buttons are non responsive when pushed. Is there a part that can fix this. Does the control panel have to be replaced?

Fisher & Paykel Smart Drive beeps and stops during rinse cycle. If I hit pause and wait and restart it eventually continues. It seems like it has problems detecting water level.

No water flow on Fisher and Paykel smartdrive 708 washing machine

Take the lid off, just open it & pull it straight up.There should be a little red button that the lid strikes against unless its a different model,in that case it has a magnetic reed switch under the right hand side of the hob.press this red switch instead of closeing lid,see if it fill with no problem.the lid may not be making good contact with switch..if thats not it then it may be the inlet valve..then you can try the hot,if theres no problem with hot then its the cold valve.

Try taking the cold hose of at the tap and check to see if has a little mesh filter in there. This could be blocked up with gunk.
