Question about Memorex MEM48U Flatbed Scanner

Open Question

With WinXP, Home edition, I didn't create an admin. acct. When I try every possible combo of all the stuff I've read, nothing works. Installer keeps on saying it couldn't install the ikernel.exe cuz I do not have "privileges" to do so! If I don't, who does?! Help! Please!

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

I cant reinstall my Vegas slot game I uninstalled my virus protection and all my fire walls

error messages help (and assuming Windows OS), but maybe this will make it work:

try right-clicking on the installer and run-as administrator (or something to that effect)

if that doesn't work, right-click on the installer and select Properties, then in the Compatibility tab, check the box to run it as WinXP, and OK and re-run installer (and try also as-admin)

My girlfriend got this laptop givin to her by her grandmother, she had forgotten the admin password but had a guest acc set up so it was no biggie, BUT... now its full of junk needs defragged/cleaned and...

Hi Chris,

Trying to get into the laptop's BIOS settings by pressing F11 at boot will NOT get you into the Admin account of Windows.

You can download and burn a copy of Hirens Boot CD - read about it here: http://www.hirensbootcd.org/ This is FREE software. Do not pay for it if you find it elsewhere and are prompted for payment. You may of course, donate a sum if you find it useful.

Once you've got a copy, load into your CD drive and reboot the PC. Either set the BIOS to boot the CD first, or select the CD Boot if presented with an option to do so at boot time.

The PC will bypass Windows and provide options. One will deal with resetting passwords. You will not be able to learn the old password, but you will be able to create a *new* password instead. Select the Admin account for a new password and make it something easy to remember. Once complete, remove the CD and reboot. While booting, press F8 and choose Safe Mode boot. The Admin account should be shown for WinXP - enter the password you just created.

Got to the control panel, and change your GF's User Account to Admin Level so that she'll be able to do just about the same thing the actual Admin account can do, without having to actually logon as the Admin. You should only use the Admin account when you have to - she should use her account with Admin level access 99.999% of the time.

I hope this helps & good luck!

For winxp home edition i want missing serial no : pr46v-cd9bq-qwtrq-8hkhb-42d2h .Plz check whether serial key correct or not

I recommend you not to include KEYS in your post my friend. If this works yet not registered/activated someone might have registered it. You have to check it and if the installer says that its not working (invalid) that means its invalid. (or make sure that you are installing the appropriate Operating System.
Contact the reseller if nothing works.
Thanks for contacting Fixya

If you have another computer available you can make a bootable cd that will run a program to reset your admin password. Several of those programs are discussed here. Good luck to you.

Windows XP Pro installed but computer boots to Home Edition

It sure is possible.
I would take it back to them and demand that WINXP Pro is put back in there and it boot correctly
They saved about 50 bucks putting in WINXP Home.

Sounds like a bunch of rookies trying to pull a fast one.
