If the ignitor is glowing and not lighting, you probably have bad valve coils.

My kennmore gas dryer will not heat it spins and i turn the timer on and off and that works there is gas to the unit

unplug dryer , remove back panel and you will see a thermo link in about the middle of the back of dryer with a vom test continuity of the link this is a very common problem . if no continuity replace thermo kink . if it tests good remove access pane in front of dryer and turn the dryer on to a heat cycle, see if the ignitor coil gets red hot. if it doesn't then the ceramic coil is bad. these are the 2 most common problems with gas dryers. if still no good write back

Amana ALG443RAW Gas Dryer will not heat up.

you can remove the lower acess panel (2) 5/16 screws along bottom. youll get a good view of workings there. turn on dryer (make sure a heat cycle is selected. you should see the ignitor light with in a few secs. if not unplug the ignitor(small white connector maybe 6inhes back from ignitor itself) and with a meter ck for 110v in that connection when unit is turned on, if you do have 110volts , you hav abad ignitor. ifyou dont get 110 volts you need to check the thermostat(s) located on top of the heater box right above the ignitor, if no continuity you need a new thermo.

Maytag Gas Dryer LDG7304AAE won't heat

Probably a high limit fuse. Check on the burner shroud for a 2 wire thermos. They should have little resistance. If so replace. If they are open, check for a restricted vent. Remove front panel and clean out area below filter.
