Hi.

You may need to replace the mount plate, this is a common part that needs replacement after extended use. Here the plate.

If the part is not the plate, but the bearing, then the tripod may need repairing.

In both situations you need to contact the manufacturer.

Check your warranty status or check if you are eligible for the three years warranty extension before contacting manufacturer.

Contact Manfrotto here to get a quote on repair or on replacement part.

Regards.

Ginko.

Some frames on film are partially overlaped

After you remove the bottom cover on these, there is a steel plate. Under the plate is a phase switch which needs to be cleaned. You have to de-solder several flex circuits to get the plate off, and when the plate is removed there is a loose spring (if memory serves me correctly, I haven't done one of these in years).

Also, the black button you push to free the flash has lips on the inside that have a strong spring attached, and the lips break off. They can fall into the gearing on the bottom

What fluid do i need in my 3066 tripod

they don't use fluid - maybe some grease in the tilt and pan of the head, but the tripod itself doesn't need any.. you might need an adjustment somewhere... I own 3 of these.

Sigma 2x tele converter is loose

I had an issue with my Sigma 1.4X TC where it became loose after several years of use. I fixed min as follows:

On the camera-mount side (where TC attaches to camera) I removed the tiny four screws. Then I very carefully lifted up the metal mount being careful not to damage the ribon cable which is attached to it. I DID NOT complete remove it, I just tilted it up so as not to damage the cable. I then tightened the 3 screws that I found below that as all three were loose. I think that there may be four screws, but I could only see 3 of them without removing the plate further. after tightening the screws and replacing the metal plate and the four screws holding it, the mount was again tight and the attached lens functioned normally.

The rotating head on the mixer keeps falling off. how do you get it to stay on? it comes off when were mixing.

The Planetary plate comes attached to the shaft from the factory. It is not supposed to get
loose and come apart but it often does due to the mixer's vibrations and the user's constant
attaching and removals of the flat beater, wire whip or dough hook onto the beater shaft.
Try to remove the Planetary plate first : Gently rock it from side to side while pulling on it
to separate from the shaft. Notice the groves on both the shaft and inside the planetary
housing. That is how they are attached to one another at the factory (just friction, no screws
or pins). Now for a permanent solution:
Take a trip to Home Depot or Ace hardware and buy the J-B Industro Weld Compound
(Not the 5 minute type). Mix an equal amount from both tubes (Black and Red). Use a Q-Tip
and apply a thin layer of the mixture on both the shaft (grooved section) and inside the
planetary housing. Now re-attach the planetary plate to the shaft. Use a long strip of duct tape
to hold the plate in place (to prevent it from falling back out). Allow the epoxy to dry overnight
or at least for 8 hours.
The Planetary assembly is now permanently attached to the shaft of the mixer.

Having trouble mounting my Nikon D3000 to Zeikos 72" tripod. There is not manual included and I'm not sure how to get it to stay on the quick release plate, other than manually rotating the camera...

Quick release plates on all tripods are in two pieces. One stays on the tripod and provides a locking mechanism to secure the camera and the other stays connected to the tripod socket on the camera.

Camera plate has lots on play in it. slides and rocks back and forth. very loose.

If it is a manufacturing flaw, contact the company. If the company is unreachable, or you have to pay for a new part and want to save money: try folding a piece of paper and putting it in the mounting tray the plate attaches to. The paper between the plate and the mounting surface will serve to fill the void that the plate is free to move around in. Fold the paper as many times as you have to until it is thick enough to fill the void. Experiment with the best place to put the paper to eliminate play. You may have to put more than one piece in the tray to achieve even results and avoid the camera being cocked when the plate is mounted.

Attaching head to tripod

video cameras come with a 1/4-20 threaded socket in the.  Make sure the 3066 has this size screw projecting form the place where the camer is attached.  The two Manfrotto should be compatible
The only time fitting together becomes a problem is if you are into the heavy duty professional equipment.
We especially like the Manfrotto fluid heads and have several in our facility.
