Yes i have the same problem. This is the second time this has happend to me within 6 years of owning this thing. My only solution to fix this problem is to make my own out of stainless steel like it should have been originally.

It's the rear support on the back of the Stainless steel tub. It's caused by dissimilar metals in contact with each other.(GALVANONIC CORROSION) I'm fighting with sears at the moment to get a replacement. There is a 25 yr warranty on the tub against rust , but they say the bracket is not covered, but here's the kick in the face.YOU CAN'T BUY THE BRACKET SEPARATE because there's no part # for it , it falls under the tub part #...So I say it's all one part so it has to be covered under the 25yr warranty.. Now if they do give you one under warrenty they have to install it, but that will cost more than the part .....I'm at my witts end, I have a 7 yr old machine that probably won't last 3 more yrs that I have to sink $500.00 dollors into to get fixed under warrenty.... WAY TO GO SEARS !!!!!!!

Check springs that the drum hangs from and supports that help hold it up. I replaced a shock absorber and a spring myself and I am a woman with fibromyalgia. Not a hard fix. Take of the back panel and there should be two springs hanging from the top and two shock absorbers supporting the drum from the bottom. Grab them and make sure they are completely attached. Then call your local Maytag or Sears for parts. When the washer is off balance it wont spin or will not spin enough. When these parts go out it will bang around. More that likely it is the shock absorbers from the bottom. Good Luck

Hi Benson5,
you could possible have something in your pump. You can clean it out by removing the bottom panel to expose the pump and unscrew the pump filter. Be sure to have some towels and a pan ready to catch some water. If that does not solve the problem you may have either a cracked tub support or something between the inner and outer tubs. Both are major repairs that take several hours to perform. So lets keep our fingers crossed that its just a little something in that pump. Lots of luck to you, and I hope this helps you. Most likely the inner tub support is broken. I have replaced mying once the whole assmbly was available from Sears for $150.00. However, I was in today to get my second replacement and Sears informed me they will not sell the replacement to customers only authorized Sears repair personel. I am going to call customer service on Monday. If I do not get the part there will be one less Sears customer in the world. Bottom line it is poorly built and Frigidaire (who makes the washer) and Sears need to stand behind their product.

If this is a front loader it could be the up/down motion causing machine to vibrate against the floor. You can pick up some cushion pads for front load washer and dryers at the dealers to go under the four corners of the machines.
