Toshiba 50HX70 Convergence reset (by 5 users)

Hi,

Suddenly I get a red shadow over the pic. Managed to reset convergence manually for all numbers (1 to 9) except 2 and 8.

The red line refuses to go further right to merge with the blue and the white crosses.

Help please?

I have the same problem.

I got up one day and the TV red and blue colors were all split and messed up. I tried to use the menu thing to fix it but I could only allign two of the because the red would not move down far enough to allign.

Same problem for a 2nd time. First time cost $360 for repairman, just 2 years ago. It happened again last night. Is this something you can do yourself?

Have the same issue, Red shadow around images, can see any writing twice once as it should be and below in red.

Problem only on Toshiba 50x70 all other TV's no issue, so not cable

the picture is showing blue shadow double images.

You will need to replace the convergence ICs. You can order them at this link and they provide free support as well as installation instructions with pics so you can do the repairs yourself. You will need to replace both convergence ICs
