SOURCE: Panasonic NN-T694SF smoke, shuts itself off

In most cases, this is a problem with the inverter or a bad transfotmer.

Due to the lethal voltages used and produced, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person work on these.

I would recommend that you contact your nearest Panasonic-authorized servicer. You can find one here:

Is it by chance running only 22 seconds before it shuts down?

The 22 seconds is the giveaway. In most cases, this is a problem with the inverter or a bad magnetron.

Due to the lethal voltages used and produced, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person work on these.

SOURCE: Panasonic NN-P295 Cooktop Light not working

We see (and repair) this a lot. The problem is on the control panel, which we regularly repair nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid in about a week.

At our Web site, you can get details of our service, plus we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a failure on the controller.

This can often also affect the exhaust fan operation, too. The lights and fan can be inoperable or stuck on too.

Feel free to contact me directly (and please remind me of your full model number) for more information & help.

SOURCE: our microwave oven Panasonic NN-S252WF stops after

Our technician suggest that there may be a problem with the Inverter Board in this model, which is something that would need to be looked at by a Service Center.

In rare cases it could be the door switches.

SOURCE: Door Release Button not working on Panasonic Microwave NN-T664SFT

The problem I had experienced with the Door not opening easily will be resolved by removing the micowave oven top cover with a tamper proof torx head, replacing the door switch and reinstalling the top cover.

How to change a bulb in a NN-L839BA mic

Unplug the oven (very important safety precaution!). Examine the sheet metal piece wrapped around the top and sides and find the screws that hold it on (there may be some underneath the oven). Remove these screws. Pull the cover back about 1/2" and lift it off. You should see the bulb right on top of the oven (some ovens have an additional cover piece over the bulb - in that case, identify the location by looking inside to see where the light normally comes from. Replace with an appliance-type bulb of the same wattage and install the cover.

Is there an internal light in the NNT664SF

Yes, there is a light on the right hand side of the microwave (looking at the control panel). It is located directly behind the control panel and may be seen with a flashlight looking inside the door through the perforated metal housing. Four special hex-with-stem screws must be removed from the cover to access it, along with one standard Phillips head screw on the side. Once the screws are removed you must slide the cover toward the back about 1/2" before it will be able to tilt up and be removed.

For safety reasons make sure to unplug the unit and allow it to discharge before removing the cover. Also make sure to not touch anything you aren't intending to work on - it could be carrying power from the capacitor, which is like a battery, and might not be discharged while you are poking around inside.

I am currently seeking out a replacement lamp for mine. I could not find one at any of the local hardware stores as this has a proprietary base and the bulb is not removable from the base. I will be looking on ebay and elsewhere.

Light out inside

You will likely have to remove the cabinet to access the light to replace it.

I take it yo have already looked inside and found no access ...

6 or 8 screws on the back and probably 4 - 2 on each side should do the trick.

Warning ... dangerous voltages inside the cabinet.

The microwave turning table hasitantly rotates and stops. the Model number is NN-S951BF - manufactures in April 2001

The turntable system consists of the motor, the coupler, the turntable support with rollers, and the tray.

You can see and hear a video of how a turntable motor should sound when you rotate it by hand.

If yours is not set to be off via the control panel, and it won't rotate or it sounds like it's grinding, etc., you may have a bad motor or plastic coupler.

To replace either, you need to unplug power, then remove the bottom cover of the oven.

In some brands, you have to cut the motor cover off with snips, then use a screw when reassembling it.

It may be that the wheels on the support may be a bit dry. You can use a tiny amount of cooking spray or cooking oil to try to lube it.

Petroleum-based lubricants are not advised in food preparation areas such as the inside of the oven.

You'll want to be sure the support and the floor of the oven are very clean before applying the spray.

If that fixes it, great, but if it fails again in a short time, then the support needs to be replaced.

Have a Panasonic Micro nn-T790 SA, need to replace light???

If you don't see an access panel inside the oven, you must remove the outer cover to find & replace the bulb. Be sure to unplug the oven first!

Many models use halogen lamps. You must not touch the new one with your bare skin as the oils will shorten the bulb life.

If you don't have your owner's manual, you can download it here:

Panasonic MW- Arcing

You're on the right track. That panel is the waveguide cover.

This is usually due to grease or food particles stuck to the inside of the oven or stuck on or behind the waveguide cover in the waveguide just out of sight.

It can be fragile, and the metal edges behind it can be sharp, so be careful!

The cover and the metal behind it should be cleaned with a mild, non-ammonia cleaner.

If the cavity metal of the oven is chipped or charred, it will have to be sanded smmoth and clean.

Then you can apply some high-temperature appliance paint, available from places like Wal-Mart or Lowe's.

If your waveguide cover is burned, it will need to be replaced.

Too Much Steam?

It's possible that the vents got blocked. If it vents to the outside, look for debris in the vent exit at the side or attic of the home. If you're lucky, these will dry put (sometimes it helps to remove the cover) but sometimes the excess moisture gets in and cannot get out. This causes a keypad or control board failure. Please post an update if you still need help.

It's usually located on the floor of the oven behind the control panel, or with the door switches.
