We purchased the same tv and after only 2 years the tv gave a large flash and bank and then went blank I would take this tv back and get your money refunded as some time down the line yours will pack in too. When the bottom button flashes just push on of the buttons on the remote ie; the 0 button in my case and the tv should come on hope this helps.

I know this problem was a couple of years ago . . however, I bought a BUSH 27" 'factory refurbished' for my son and it lasted a couple of years and then this problem with the standby lamp, etc occured. I followed a couple of threads regarding 1000uF capacitors on the power supply board relating to the 6volt output side and now all is well. TV now working :-)
(Did change for higher voltage spec. as recommended!)
Many thanks to all who supply info on websites like this one.

The tv doesnot turn on

either the lamp needs to be replace which eventually happen in all rear projection tvs. Do you have colored lights, flashing lights on tv? It is also very possible that the power supply may need to be replaced. If you have colored or flashing lights, please let me know which ones they are and if they are a solid light or flashing and how many times it flashes.

If the tv has sound no picture, than it is your lamp. If you have nothing what so ever, than your power supply may have to be replaced.

I have the same problem. The only way to get the TV to come on is to unplug it, but once you get it back on it turns itself off again in a few minutes.
