Hello. I have an HTC Touch Dual with full qwerty keyboard slide out.
I have two questions. 1.
I cannot find what is Button two in descriotion. I want to assign that
button to voice tagged calls so I can press button two and make call by
speaking the voice tag.
2.Secondly I have an icon that reads 12#
and manifests tow ways. First it is there when I open it and it
disaapears when I key the numbers to unlock. I cannot find the icon
anywhere. Secondly sometimes and it seems to be after I have fully
turned off the phone charged it up and then switched it on. There is a
message on the bottom left which says notification but when I press
that, all that comes up is a little blank screen and the only option is
to hide it. If I leave the phone onit eventualy goes away and the word
calendar appears which is the normal instruction in that bottom left of
the phone. Can you assist as to how to avoid that and what is the icon
and how does one set it up for whatever purpose it serves.
Hello, In response to your email I did accept the advice which actually came though as the same message 4 times.
I already had the manual that the expert was referring to but again on re-reading it there was no solution. Ieventually I rang the helpdesk for HTC which for me was an Australian number. They knew the problems that I referred to. hey could not help on the icon 12# save to say that I should simply leave the phone on al the time. If I travel on the plane I suspect I woud have to set it to Aeoplane mode as I board.
The icon then appears when you take it out of sleep mode and unlock it.
As to the Notification and the white screen, that is apparently a problm that reates to the fact that HTC does not operate in NZ with auto connection to vodafone. It seems to indicate that the phone is automatically trying to reconnect to a network that the bios setup does not recognise. It seems to time out and then the notification disappears and the calndar word appears which is normal.
So I think I have to wait until HTC extends to NZ. Apparently there have been talks with Telecom but as I am vodafone that will not help. However with the closure of CDMA of Telecom HTC will apparently be looking at the GPRS system so I may be OK.
I appreciate your help. If there is anyone out there who can add more or knows of a solution setting I would be pleased to hear from them.

I phone misses Some really important functionality.
The Virtual keyboard, while innovative and good looking, lacks the functionality of a proper QWERTY Keyboard, The contracts in the UK and possibly the US for the iPhone are an absolute Rip off, and the applications in the Appstore arent nothing special.
now on the Other hand
The T mobile G1 IMO is way better thn the iphone. it has better hardware Specs such as better camera, Full Physical Qwerty Keyboard and Proper Google GPS etc.
also because the OS is completely open source, absolutely any application can be made to work on the phone ! anything you can think of. if you want something creating, chances are it will be added to the OS at some point through the amazing Android Market !
Also the T-mobile contract prices are Way more better than that of the iPhone. and the customisation of the G1 way outperforms that of the iPhone !
i was in my local T-Mobile shop (UK) yesterday checking out the G1 before release date, Whoever said it isnt a high quality keyboarad has some serious personal issues. the keyboard on the phone is Really high quality, with backlit keys which are slightly raised to assist in typing, dedicated shortcut and programmable Keys and a really sturdy Sliding mechanism on the main screen ! as with most of HTC's QWERTY phones, the Keyboard is Top notch !
