on your computer, when you plug into the USB port it should automatically identify the software, normally the MP3 models are sync ready with Windows Media Player, check in windows media to see if it has recognized your mp3 and download from there. also if that fails to work go to my computer and see if it is plugged and regocnized from there, then see what the mp3 player is compatable with
I also have windows vista. I inserted the disc that came along with the ilo mp3 player and it accepted and recognizes the player. My husband and I bought it for our daughter for Christmas and she loves it. I would suggest uninstalling the program from the disc then reinstalling it. It took the 1st time for us when we downloaded. I hope this help's you out.
If you plug in the mp3 player then goto device manger via the control panel (hardware and sound) it will show up there as an uninstalled item. Righ click on it and select update driver and hopefully vista will search and find the apropiate driver for it.
Alternatively try the manufactures website for vista drivers.
Unfortunately not all hardware products are vista compatable yet :(
You do not have the sufficiant driver software to run the disc because windows vista is too new for older versions of cd-rom software.
This is a common problem. You need to install the latest driver software for it to work. Trust me. Good Luck!
go to rio's support page and download the drivers for it. i did this too cus my cd rom drive dont work. however when i installed the drivers it picked uip the rio player but windows wouldnt give me any suggestions when the player was plugged in. it just gave me the option to do nothing. so i have yet to find a solution for this. i am still trying so ill try to update you asap.
