Question about Computers & Internet
I have a proview PL2230WDBi lcd monitor and when i plug it into my computer via dvi the power light blinks orange with blue occasionally.....when i use VGA i get a white screen..unplugging it doesnt do anything else...the light still blinks...unplugging it from power doesnt help either (when i plug it back up it starts blinking but only when i plug video into it) ive tried it on several computers with a variety of video cards...none work with this monitor

You need to replace the power supply! I work with these all of the time, the most common problem with thes montiors is the Power supplies do no generate enough charge to power it up to display an image! If the Power supply does not work I would look into getting a new monitor because then it is truly involved! Bad inverter, or blown LCD. I speculate that if your not getting any video after trying the new cord. replace the monitor! Sorry!

I opend up the monitor and found that some of the capacitors on the power circuit are bulging. I'm pretty sure that is the problem. I just ordered substitute capacitors and will replace the broken ones with them when they arrive. specs for equivalent capacitor: 470uF 25V 105C
