What is exactly the problem, Does your computer have the software and the CD burner in it? What are the steps you follow to burn music? Normally to burn the music from the computer , use Media player or any other software that can burn CD. Pick the music files to be burned from the local drive. Insert blank CD in the CD burner. Hit the burn to CD button from the CD burning software.
Sometimes there are firmware updates that update the compatibility of the burner with more brands and more formats. It could also be a bad batch of discs. Maybe try a different brand. Or do the CDs work in a different burner. Maybe the burner is bad or going bad. And just JFY, there are no CD+R only CD-R and RW
some times it is the softwear u r using playing up, if so try using nero 7 as it is more user friendly then nero 8... it could also be ur burner playing up in witch case just trying holding the drive shut while it reads the disk... this can some times solve the problem....
No you do not need RW. With the CD-R you can only burn to it once. With RW you can burn to it multiple times plus erase it.
Most cd burners work with CD+R and CD-R but it is best to be sure.
Be sure to try more than one of your CD-R discs. I've brought out a new cd burner on a warranty repair in the past and found that the customers cd burner was fine and when a different CD-R was tried they were able to burn onto a cd without a problem.
Couple of things.
First, turn the disk over and try it. It can only burn data on the data side.
Next, are you sure you have a CD burner in the computer? The way to check it go to computer propreties, device manager, and look for the CD Drive. Make sure it says R/W
Third, you might have a bad disk, try a different one.
