1 Answer

Admiral refrigerator my admiral refrigerator is just over 2 years and yesterday it quit getting cold. I lost everything in it. It sounds like a fan is running all the time but my entire unit is not cold.

Sounds like the compressor is bad, do you hear a clicking sound when you turn it on or when it's trying to turn on?

We have a Admiral Top Freezer Refrigerator Model#

sounds like a defrost problem. if the freezer section gets too much frost build up then it wont be able to move air into the refr section. check to see if you have "heavy" frost in the freezer and if so then a defrost thermostat or a defrost control board may be you problem.

Refer does not work. Freezer and ice maker work good.

Check your evaporator fan in your freezer. They go quite frequently these days. The fridge gets it's cold air from the freezer via the evaporator fan blowing the cold air down into the fridge and cooling it.

Freezer part is working fine. fridge part is barely cool on the highest setting

Sounds like your cooling tube ia blocked by an ice buildup or something. Some refrigerators have a fan to draw the cold from the freezer to the refrigerator and if the fan quits, then the cold is not drawn out of the freezer.

If it isn't a frost free freezer then it is probably just a case of needing to defrost the freezer.

My refrigerator is 9 years old and yesterday it started thawing everything out it is running but not keeping anything cold

If the compressor is running and the fan under the unit I am afraid you need to buy a new fridge. This normally means its low on freon you could have a repairman add some but at 9 years old I would recommend a replacement. But make sure the compressor is running and not just the fan the compressor will hum.

Moved refrig this morning and now it is not cooling... freezer works great

Hih, Check and see if something has stopped the condenser fan motor down by the compressor from turning. Sometimes this happens in a move.
Also make sure the controls didn't get turned to wrong settings. Make sure evaporator fan motor is working in freezer and that there is no frost building up on the rear panel.
Just some ideas to help you.
lease let me know if I can assist you further.

Thanks
Vic

GE Side by side refrigerator not working

THE FREEZER FAN BLOWS COLD AIR TO THE FRIDGE SIDE, TO ACCESS THIS FAN YOU NEED TO EMPTY THE FREEZER SIDE AND REMOVE THE REAR PANEL SOMETIMES A WHIRL OF IT WILL GET IT SPINNING AGAIN BUT YOU MAY AS WELL CHANGE IT
