I changed the cartridge and now it's saying that the cover is open..but it isn't. Tried unplugging it for a while, checked everything, can't get it to stop saying that. Now I can not print because the "cover is open". HELP!

My printer tells me that my cover is open after i have changed the ink. The only problem is that everything is shut and ready to go, but it still wont print. Is there a trigger somewhere that I could activate by some other means? I have taken it apart and there doesn't appear to be any kind of trigger to confirm to the internals that the cover is closed. What must I do to fix this problem?
