You have an inlet side, (where pool water is brought into the pump), and is typically the lower of the two. Then you have the return, (where the water comes back out after being filtered). As the previous person noted, you'll need to observe the arrows indicating flow direction on the SWG and it will be on the return side of the pool. Additionally, you can go to the INTEX website, and they have the same setup video that should have been provided with your system. Hope this helps.

Check the housing ... there should be an arrow that indicates the direction of flow.

alternatively, this is what SHOULD be happening ... you should be drawing water from the pool, through the pump ... through the filter ... to a heater if applicable ... to the cell to the pool.

I have a 15x 42" intex metal frame pool an i also

Most likely you are not. The manual is very conservative!!! I have a 14000 gallon pool and I run my intex salt system during the summer at 10 to 12 hrs pump and 8 to 10 hrs chlorination in between those 12 hrs and my pool stays very clear. But..... If you don't clean the unit and let it alarm for low flow, low salt or not run the unit log enough, you WILL HAVE GREEN WATER!!!
Hope this helps, If it does, please rate the tip!

How to put the salt water pump together and when do we add the salt

After the system is connected, you add the salt, run the pump only for 24 hrs to properly disolve the salt and then you can set you timer on the chlorinator to sync with you pump. Here's a pic of where the salt system should be attached... Can't give you step by step without knowing what you pool looks like.. Sorry...

We purchased the Intex 633T pump. We want to know if this pump can be ran with saltwater pool?

Unless the manual specifically says otherwise there should be no problem. The salt level in salt water pools is very minimal, so it's really no different than using mineral additives. Do pay attention to salt system though as far as using other mineral additives such as copper or silver algaecides as they can damage the salt system.

My intex saltwater system green light then low salt light

You need to add salt to the water. How much depends on what size pool you have. Your owner's manual will tell you exactly how much to add when the low salt light comes on. On my Intex I would need to add 35 lbs.

We keep on getting code 90 on the salt water system

in side the hose attached to the system from the pool is a filter, we cleaned ours that fixed it right up. Did not know it was there.
The hose is the one going into the pump system at the base.
