I don't know how to empty the waste toner or how to clean the sensor, as I don't even know where it's located. I would love to be able to scan my pictures. Can you please help?
Thanks in advance,
There is no sensor to clean. Look on the right side down at the bottom rear. Take the panel off and there is your waste tank. Take care dumping the waste toner out as it is messy. Do it outside. Code 19 means you went past the limit after the waste toner full message came up. To clear that is kinda tricky if you dont no how to navigate the service mode. Its in Level 2 wst-tnr. I would dump the toner and call a local dealer and they could walk you thur the reset. Tell them the next problem you have you will call them to sevice the copier, or better yet buy a box of toner from them and ask them for the phone help. We help people out all the time over the phone.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Neele, Error code E000019-0000 is a waste toner full , to get rid of this error, remove the waste toner bottle located left rear side of the machine, dispose of waste toner and clean the neck of the bottle because waste toner could obstruct the toner sensor beam. Switch off then on, OK to use.
Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

Hi, these error code E019 means that you have waste toner container full. Waste toner box is located on leftsideway of copier, in lower left corner, covered with plastic cover wich have one screw. Unscrew that screw and remove cover, now you are able to pull out waste toner box. Remove the waste toner by emptying it to plastic bag or similar ( be carefull it could be verry meassy job ), on "neck" of the botlle is two small around " holes " where the toner sansor monitors the waste amount.Clean the neck verry good and dry also. Use some antistatic detergent to prevent toner sticking.
although the waste container is empty still it show 'THE WASTE TONER IS FULL' cleaned the bottle neck of waste container see to it that the 2transparent round hole area is not clouded by toner .this is the sensor path it should be cleaned(remove one screw to remove transparent cap)
This error indicates that the waste toner bottle is full
Remove the small cover on the lower left hand side( one screw only) and remove the waste toner bottle and emptied it ensure that bottle neck is not clouded with toner otherwise even the bottle is empty still it will detect waste toner is full .hope this will help
The Waste Toner Cartridge must be VERY clean, especially around the "bump" directly below the left side hole. After I CAREFULLY emptied the old toner out, I used air compressor to clean every bit of toner out from inside. Then I wiped the whole area around the "bump" where the sensor "sees" if the tank is empty. Even a slight film over the area will not allow for reuse. If you do this, it works every time.
The error code E0019 is the waste toner bottle is full you need to empity out the waste toner bottle and make sure the neck of the bottle is totaly clean and clear, a sensor reads dirt on the neck that the bottle is full. To clear that code after cleaning the waste toner, turn the main power switch off on the right side of the copier. The waste toner bottle is on the left hand side toward the rear of the copier and is held in with one screw. The E00225 deals with the scanning lamp. you will have to replace the lamp and the lamp PCB as a set to solve that problem. Good Luck...
You need to replace the waste toner bottle (packaged with a new toner cartridge) you can't just empty it. There is a photo sensor that "reads" through a window of the waste bottle. The sensor could be dirty. Clean the slits with a q-tip.
Couple of things to try:
- If you just emptied the waste cartridge then you have to take the bottle back out and clean the insides as well. The sensor sees the toner on the walls and still thinks it?s full. FYI as typical the manufacturer recommends replacing the bottle with a brand new one.
- If not that then you may have toner covering the optical sensor. Try blowing the area where the waste bottle attaches to the printer with canned air.

The waste toner is usually a bottle near the toner cartridge which collects excess toner powder from the cartridge. It is usually present in more heavy duty laser printers, not all printers have them as a replaceable supply. You would need to refer to your manual for replacement instructions, they vary from printer model. For this machine, the Waste Toner supply number is #420131.
In the case of the first poster, my best guess would be there was spillage of toner on the sensors to detect the waste basket overflowing, hence why the error message is constant. This would require cleaning of the sensors, a relatively simple task but for proper access, the machine would need to be partially disassembles for thorough cleaning. It would be best done at a repair centre.
