E5 is the fault code for Compressor overheat/malfunction it coulb be caused by the exhaust hose being too long or kinked, remove the exhaust hose and run the unit for an hour and see if your problem goes away, if so re-route the exhaust hose, if not you need to contact the manufacture
be certain you have it plugged directly into a ac socket , no surge protector or gfic protector. the main fan should have come on first then the compressor. if not the fan capacitor or the fan is stuck. try reseting it by for resetting
the error code. Unplug unit, clean filter, HOLD DOWN power button and
CONTINUE HOLDING while plugging unit back in. Unit will beep. Unplug
again, plug back in and resume normal operation
