About the first thing I would do is to pull the plug lead(s), tilt the mower up (resting it on something solid) and see if the motor shaft could be turned at all. I suspect you initial thought that it is locked up is correct.

I changed the oil on my sears riding mower and it run fine for over an hour and then started smoking real bad.

What weight of motor oil did you put into the tractor? And how much? The capacity of the crankcase is 1.7L (1.75 qt.). The recommended engine oil is SAE 30. If you put a 10W-30 product into the engine and operated it under heavy load or heat conditions, the oil may not be capable of providing sufficient lubrication.

Sears Craftsman riding mower V belt getting chewed

I believe you may have the belt over one or more of the belt retainers next to the pulleys. They are 5 or 6 inches long and about a 1/4 inch in diameter. You have to loosen them when you put the belt on then adjust them to where they are just barely touching the back of the belt. They keep the belt from jumping off.

There is a possibility that the head gasket is blown.

Until you are certain the issue of fuel being in the oil is resolved, internal engine damage could be happening. Inlet needle/seat leakage must be check with a leak detector or pressure guauge.

Using oil...no leakage...no smoking

by recently, do you mean, since it got hot outside? if you're using a multi-vis oil, it gets too thin in hot weather and will "vaporize" and burn, not enough to cause smoking. use a good 30 weight oil. other than that, can't think of anything else that would cause it with no leaking or smoking

Lawn Mower won't start

Its a thing of beauty to see problems solve themselves. It seems to me this trial and error approach is very taxing and could have been avoided if 1, your small engine repair guy/Craftsman/Sears had sold you the right parts from the start, or 2, you had bought the right part... from the start.
