Question about Miele 24 in. G879 Built-in Dishwasher
Miele Dishwasher Model G 879Need proper code sequence to restart dishwasher. This has happened before, and previous Miele Service contact had me compress certain panel buttons and hold as machine was turned on. I then went through a series of buttons and this corrected a software code issue. Need this sequence.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I found the solution by phoning Miele. You just have to reset as follows: switch on with program 2 and 3 pushed in. Then push top solo twice. Switch off and on again. The Miele is ready to go.

SOURCE: clean ligh is blinking
youll need to remove the bottom acess panel of d/w there should be an extensive trouble shooting guide tapedto back of panel in a sleeve, lotsa good stuff in there. depending on buttons its going to repuire pushing a sequence. "
sani-rinse---heated dry--sani rinse--heated dry.
it will enter a diag mode "all lights will light up" wait a few secs and then cancel cycle .. if happens a again or with frequency, then call a servicer, you have a problem, first time chaulk up to a fluke

Hello it sounds like you need new Lid Actuators the serviceman should have told you this and replaced them??. If you start the dishwaher on any cycle then stop it the lid should open unless it's 100% broken and even the diagnostics wouldn't open it. The buttons he pressed are in the diagnostics control menu which are for Service tech's only as you can do damage to the dishwasher or your house with them. Eg if you turn on the tub element with no water the unit can melt the tub or if you leave the inlet valve on you could flood your dishwasher and house. Cheers

Thanks for using FixYa. If the clean light flashes, pauses, and then repeats. When the dishwasher doesn't sense a water temperature increase, it stops working and locks the functions (clean light flashes, all buttons are non responsive). It does this as a safety in case the element is broken and feeding electrical current into the water.
To resolve this you will have to reset the console. Do this by closing the door and press these buttons in sequence...
-high temp wash
-high temp wash
Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Suds left in the bottom of the
dishwasher tub would indicate:
Using too much detergent, using
wrong kind of detergent, rinse agent is dripping into the tub and mixing with
the wash water.
If all of the lights on the control
panel flash in sequence, this means the machine has detected an overfill.Or you
have a door lock switch problem.
