Hi
You need to check your drain hose. If it is not higher than the highest water level of the washer it will always just fill and drain at the same time. So make sure your drain hose is at least to the top of your washer. You will need to reposition your drain hose so that it is at least 36" above the floor. Also your drain is too tight in the drain pipe thus the water is being syphoned from the machine. You need a special anti-syphoned valve. It can be purchased in a plumbing store.

Try adjusting the water lvl going into the washer. Adjust accordingly. If you have a meter, just the resistance of the valves. Unplug of course. It should read about 1.4k ohms ish. Could be higher or lower but roughly that.

Won't stop filling. Just runs & drains without

Check for a faulty water level switch. It's a diaphragm-like device with a small plastic tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. As the water level increases, so does the pressure on the air in the tube and when it reaches a certain level, it activates the switch to shut off the water and signals the timer to start the appropriate cycle. Check for any obstructions in or damage to the plastic tube. The switch can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity means a bad switch. Sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.

My danby fills and immediately drains.

Hi, It sounds like the drain hose has dropped lower then the water level in the washer. Check and see if the hose end is as high as the top of the washer.
I hope this helps you.

Water keep refilling

This is commonly caused by a condition known as "siphoning". The following link explains:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r587481-prevent_washer_siphoning

The washer is filled when the solenoids on the water inlet valve are activated, allowing water to flow through the fill hoses. Once the washer reaches a predetermined level (as determined by the load level selector dial), the pressure switch senses the water level and shuts off the inlet valve. If the pressure switch was causing this problem, your water level would continue to rise to the point that the washer would overflow. If the water inlet valve was defective and would not shut off, you not only would have a washer that would potentially overflow, but it would also continue to fill when the washer was not in use. The key to diagnosing your problem is the fact that the washer continually DRAINS and cannot maintain the water level. Take your drain hose and pull it up from the standpipe. If you had the hose shoved down in the standpipe too far, or if the drain hose was fitted too tight, a sucking sound may be heard as you pull the hose out. You should only have about 6 inches of hose in the drain. There needs to an air gap around the top of the standpipe as well. This prevents a vacuum from forming which causes the water to be siphoned from the wash tub.

Read through the link I provided and let me know if you have questions. If you require additional assistance, please let me know before rarting the solution. I hope this helps you.

Washer both fills and drains at the same time

if your unit is both filling and draining this is usually from a siphoning action, caused by improper drain lines, you should drain the unit into a standpipe at lleast 36inches from floor, and have an "air gap" so as to prevent "siphoning"

Maytag washer

Check to make sure your drain hose has a loop at least as high as washer top.  If the drain hose is not looped higher than tub water will continue to drain and it won't stop filling.  If it doesn'y reach the correct fill level it won't agitate.

Machine fills up then empties out

Lett, check your drain hose and make sure there is a gap in the drain inlet. Sounds like you are siphoning. The question is whether the timer is advancing or the pump is running during this draining. If so, you have a timer issue. If not, it's probably a siphoning problem. Catriver..post back.

Washer fills then drains

Daisy, check your drain hose going into the drain. It sounds like you have a siphoning problem. If the drain hose does not have a air gap the water filling will siphon right out. Check this first and post back, Catriver.
